Unfortunately more people voted for the angry right and those conservative parties are currently working on a coalition for government. *big sigh*<br /><br />Happier happenings: my family celebrated Sinterklaas (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C1DQR3PMbbU/?img_index=1">Photos of the surprise packages I build and received in my Instagram</a>) and my birthday was fun as well (<a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/C1VOgMrrzsn/?img_index=1">Check out my awesome over the top cake!</a>).<br /><br />If you're on other socials, I now also have an account on <a href="https://bsky.app/profile/beelikej.bsky.social">BlueSky</a>, let me know if you want me add/follow you there:) I'll share a complete list of my platforms next year. I will at least continue to share stuff on Dreamwidth and Livejournal. This final post of 2023 is a round-up of my Land of Art graphics. <br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/583022.html#cutid1">Challenge 11 - Fake it, Till You Make It</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___2" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/583022.html#cutid2">Challenge 12 - Cracked</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___2" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___3" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/583022.html#cutid3">Challenge 13 - A Panoramic Twist</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___3" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />I handed in Golden Tickets for <b>Challenge 14 - Hide & Seek Characters (Prep)</b> because I was lacking time to come up with approved character types and create banners.<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___4" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/583022.html#cutid4">Challenge 15 - A Silver Lining</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___4" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />For <b>Challenge 16 - Where is the End Point?</b> everyone had to find mazes to share and solve. In between work being crazy busy (as usual;) I had a long weekend off for a theatre trip to London, including a night at the Leicester Square Theatre for Richard Herring's podcast; he interviewed Tim Key, who presented his book of poems, and Davina McCall, a hero of mine ever since her MTV days, she was so cool and gorgeous. I also met up with an international workfriend:) I shared a bunch of photos at my Instagram:<br /><b>Part 1:</b> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CzUWVnZrD1t/?img_index=1">Night Ferry / Breakfast / Undergrond / Rain / Black Friars Bridge / Exploring Bankside (Artsy:) / Shakespeare's Globe!</a> | <b>Part 2:</b> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CzUWdLELNWZ/?img_index=1">More exploring Bankside (Winchester Palace / As You Like It at Shakespeare's Globe! / Golden Hind galleon) / King's Cross Hotel / IFO (rainbow swing) by IFO Jacques Rival.</a> | <b>Part 3:</b> <a href="https://www.instagram.com/p/CzUWmFTLOzk/?img_index=1">Saint Chad! In the last week my shoulder mobility has been improving: I went to Aquarobics again for the first time since March. Afterwards I did feel a bit of pain in my shoulders, but it was good pain from exercising, not bad pain for overstretching, if you know what I mean. <br />Yesterday I had another appointment at the physical therapist, who pinched my left shoulder and made me aware I'm still not a 100% and to take it easy. He did -finally- agree to give me a few exercises to do at home. I got one of those elastic bands to stretch my arms with, but also strict instructions to only do that once every other day and not to do all the exersizes at once, pfff.<br />Anyway, lets continue catching up with the graphics I made for <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://landofart.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='16' height='16'/></a><a href='http://landofart.livejournal.com/'><b>landofart</b></a></span> in April and May:<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid1">Ch06_PH18 - Icon Battlefield</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___2" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid2">Ch07_PH18 - Two Ways to Say Goodbye</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___2" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___3" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid3">Ch10_PH18 - Inspire Me</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___3" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___4" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid4">Ch11_PH18 - Can You Text</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___4" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___5" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid5">Ch12_PH18 - First & Last </a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___5" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><b>Challenge 13</b> was a puzzle challenge (digital jigsaw, wordsearches and mazes:)<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___6" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid6">Ch14PH18 - We Are Family</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___6" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___7" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/574655.html#cutid7">Ch15Ph18 - So Close, Yet So Far </a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___7" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />Is today a national holiday for you too? For my second claim I chose a story with a whole bunch of intriguing tropes; it has timetravel, young Dean & older Sam plus Mpreg! Anyone of those may not be everyone's cup of tea, but as an artist I love to explore all sorts of visuals and I really wanted to put Dean in that big old leather jacket again;)<br /><br />This was not my first try at imagining Mpreg, but I had not tried to capture it digitally before, and it took me a while to figure out. The result is an endbanner that's behind the cut, together with animated Making Ofs of the storybanner. If you want to see full size versions of either one of the banners, simply click on the images. Enjoy! <br /><br /><a target="_blank" href="https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/beelikej/7499883/2924954/2924954_original.png"><img src="https://ic.pics.livejournal.com/beelikej/7499883/2924954/2924954_original.png" width="300" alt="4Spiegel_Ch13_LoAPh15.png" title="4Spiegel_Ch13_LoAPh15.png"></a> <br />Alona Tal <3<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/564783.html#cutid1">More mirrors!</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />In case you missed it: earlier this week I posted my second SPN_ReverseBang collaboration: <a href="https://beelikej.livejournal.com/565003.html">Mischief Candy</a>, a J3 artprompt that resulted in a sweet collab with one of my favorite authors, so it's a big WIP post with fic on top:)<br /><br />Tomorrow I will reveal my first RB collab, which will be art only (for now)...<br /><br />Somewhat related, I was wondering about all the platforms that are currently used for fandom, as responses on my traditional LiveJournal artposts are only trickling in this year. Especially Twitter seems to be a popular place to not only promote fanworks but even publish them, which is weird to me, since Tweets are not easily archived to permanently share your works. I also don't quite understand how the 'likes' there are supposed to be interpreted when I tweet a link to my artpost on LJ. Do people mean to say "thanks for the link, I like it, may check it out later" or "checked out the link, looks great, kudos to you" or WHAT? There's a lot more response there than on LJ, but it's most unsatisfying to not know the extend of those likes.<br />I get that times are moving fast and that people sometimes find it hard to express their thoughts about art, so I doubly appreciate everyone taking the time to leave a comment <3<3<br /><br />J.<br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=beelikej&ditemid=564783" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-04-27:127595:551479ARTpost: ReverseBang 2019-1!2019-11-21T22:51:33Z2019-11-22T16:57:54Zpublic0For this year's first <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://spn-reversebang.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='16' height='16'/></a><a href='http://spn-reversebang.livejournal.com/'><b>spn_reversebang</b></a></span> I played with a random sketch I made months ago of a young Sam... I had initially planned to only go to the SaturdayNightSpecial (SNS) concert, but then figured I might as well get a preferred seat for Sunday to have another chance to meet up with fellow fangirls. (That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it!) <br />Admittedly I was a little disappointed when the con schedule turned out to be different from the USA set up and there wasn't going to be a J2 panel on Sunday. So when I arrived early enough for their Saturday panel, I decided to try and get a ticket for that as well. <br />Instead of going to the hotel to get rid of my backpack and cool down, I walked (and walked and walked) straight to the convention center. I still don't know exactly how it happened; I was absolutely ready to pay cash after asking for directions to the nearest working ATM when to my surprise I was given a free wristband with General Admission! I was still in a bit of a daze over that when I walked into the hall to find a seat. Turns out I was even on time for Misha's solo panel that was scheduled before J2!<br /><br />This journal post does not contain any spectacular photos; I was in the back of the hall and have only taken a few snapshots to remember the view. This is a merely a report of my travels, I don't have any photo-op or autograph stories. It does include my trip to Cadbury World on Monday:) <br /><br />For spectacular con photos I recommend you check out the twitters of <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://somer.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='17' height='17'/></a><a href='http://somer.livejournal.com/'><b>somer</b></a></span> (<a href="https://twitter.com/SomerInTheWind">SomerInTheWind</a>) and <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://whiskygalore.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='17' height='17'/></a><a href='http://whiskygalore.livejournal.com/'><b>whiskygalore</b></a></span> (<a href="https://twitter.com/Whiskygalore12">Whiskygalore12</a>).<br /><br />If you want more, there are also glorious videos shot by <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://amberdreams.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='17' height='17'/></a><a href='http://amberdreams.livejournal.com/'><b>amberdreams</b></a></span> (<a href="https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCvosXN5AqO8F-ir90R4JOog/videos">on YouTube</a>) and I made a playlist of other vidders <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLh3nJF6qMo5Smnamc21hPhAu0BXaY2ucX">here</a>.<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/530411.html#cutid1">Now, here's my con experience.</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />And now: PICSPAAAAAAAAAM!<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___2" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/530411.html#cutid2">Saturday, May 5: M and J2 panel plus SNS</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___2" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___3" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/530411.html#cutid3">Sunday, May 6: R2 and J2M panel</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___3" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___4" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/530411.html#cutid4">Monday, May 7: Chocolate Cadbury World</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___4" aria-live="assertive"></div><br /><br />The End.<br /><br />J.<br /><br />P.S. He plays Eddie G. who *apparently* was in a threesome relationship with Marilyn together with Cass Chaplin (son of Charlie), played by a young Patrick Dempsey (fanfiction in motion, people; never happened in real life, but oh so much fun to watch;) Marilyn's character is all over the place and very annoying, the dialogues are cringe-worthy, but oh my, there is Jensen dancing in a kimono and diving enthusiastically between Marilyn's legs, so five stars for that \o/ <br /><br />Someone was wondering why we were watching all these hot series in an almost unbearably hot attic and I realized not everyone knows about my upstairs cinema *grins* So for those of you who are new here or who missed previous accounts on fangirl marathons, here are some photos.<br /><br /><span class="cut-wrapper"><span style="display: none;" id="span-cuttag___1" class="cuttag"></span><b class="cut-open">( </b><b class="cut-text"><a href="https://beelikej.dreamwidth.org/415338.html#cutid1">Dance dance</a></b><b class="cut-close"> )</b></span><div style="display: none;" id="div-cuttag___1" aria-live="assertive"></div><br />Fangirling really can't get any better than that:)<br /><br /><br /><br />To see more photos (and a bigger audience) up in my attic, check out these old posts. Whenever a new Potter film was released, I would invite my Potterposse and we would watch all the films over one weekend before going to the latest edition in the cinema.<br /><a href="http://beelikej.livejournal.com/246847.html">2009:</a> 5 films, 6 people<br /><a href="http://bljxperiment.blogspot.nl/2010/11/my-harry-potter-marathon-weekend-to.html">2010:</a> 6 films, 5 people<br /><a href="http://beelikej.livejournal.com/342214.html">2011:</a> 7 films, 7 people<br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=beelikej&ditemid=415338" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> commentstag:dreamwidth.org,2009-04-27:127595:415195My summervacation: day 42013-07-23T18:04:31Z2013-07-23T18:04:31Zpublic2A short and quick update today because I'm still in the middle of a fangirlmarathon with <span style='white-space: nowrap;'><a href='http://sillie82.livejournal.com/profile'><img src='https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif' alt='[livejournal.com profile] ' style='vertical-align: text-bottom; border: 0; padding-right: 1px;' width='17' height='17'/></a><a href='http://sillie82.livejournal.com/'><b>sillie82</b></a></span>. Yesterday afternoon we watched the latest episodes of CSI season 13, four in total; I decided to skip the one about Hodges and we didn't watch the final because it was a to-be-continued so we'll save that for our S14 marathon. Before bed we watched two Supernatural episodes: S8Ep8 (Hunter Heroici) and S8Ep11 (LARP and the Real Girl). <br /><br />(Per tradition I pick the CSIs and Sillie the SPNs, taking special wishes of the other into consideration of course;)<br /><br />This morning we slept in a bit and after breakfast we started with Being Human season 1. It's superhot up in the attic already, but we managed to survive thanks to my huge fan and plenty of water and cool down breaks (in which we checked up on Tumblr and talked about fandom a lot:) After lunch we brought up bowls of water to soak our feet in and we put wet hankies in our neck;) <br /><br />We just had dinner and will now take our sorbet desserts upstairs to accompany us for season 2. \o/<br /><br /><img src="https://www.dreamwidth.org/tools/commentcount?user=beelikej&ditemid=415195" width="30" height="12" alt="comment count unavailable" style="vertical-align: middle;"/> comments
