Because the first bloodtests from a couple of weeks ago (to figure out the dizzy-spells) showed a small deviation on the Thyroid-values, I went to the clinic yesterday for a follow up. Not very spectaculair, since I used to donate blood and was tapped with much bigger needles for much bigger amounts of blood. (I'm not a donor anymore because last year I scored a positive direct Coombstest - in combination with my awesome Hb of 8.4 nothing to worry about, but my blood is not safe for patients) Now the nurse only needed one tube for testing.
What is strange however, is what happened afterwards. When I got home I found the bandage soaked with blood, while normally it's just a small spot. I guessed it was because of the abnormal heat (well, for me anyway) and put a fresh band-aid on.
When I took that off this morning I had some seriously weird bruises on my arm. From one tiny prick with a mini-needle! WTF? PICTURE!
I'm hoping to make my final doctor's appointment next week: to find out about the blood and also to hear the results from the audio-test. Since I haven't had dizzyspells for a couple of weeks now, I consider that matter solved. But I figure the doctor might need closure;) Plus she is awesome, because when she heard I was reading David Eggers (a couple of visits ago) she totally started fangirling :-)
Heh: I said 'prick'... I saw two Torchwood-episodes yesterday (after watching the CSI final two eppies - sigh) and Owen is still rocking my socks. But booh! Gwen! I can sort of understand why, but booh for forgetting Rhys!
Love the banter, though.

Owen Harper: Right, do you want a quip about feeling a small prick?
Gwen Cooper: No but thanks for offering.
I'm twelve;)

Date: 2007-05-22 02:28 pm (UTC)And I watched it last night. The first half of the ep reminded me of an ep of last season (a ship was slowly getting sucked into a black hole and there was a threat on board) but the second half was awesome! My heart broke when the Doctor said that he was very scared. *squishes him*
And I was *not* thinking naughty thoughts when the two pretty men remained on the ship on their own. Ahem.
