This is probably only funny if you know me really well
I started reading 'Elsewhere' this morning (bought the Dutch edition for Children's bookweek in October)
The prologue was written from the point of view of ... a dog. Now those of you who can imagine the look on my face when I found out probably think that's hilarious. *glares at you*.
After that bad beginning this book will have to work real hard to score any points. I will keep you posted, but don't get your hopes up. I still love the idea, but the execution so far is not very impressive. And I fear there will be more of the pov mentioned above. I am not amused. Stop giggling.

If it helps, I just started a book that so far seems incredibly good, and may be sent as presents to people who shall remain nameless for now.

It's NOT funny! Especially since it took quite some paragraphs before I figured it out.
Plus my fears have come true; there are more animals involved *pulls up nose*. There was some comfort from that character who "[zette] z'n zonnebril af, waardoor zijn vriendelijke bruine, door lange donkere wimpers omkranste ogen te zien [waren]" *g*, but I'm still not too thrilled about the style. I'm curious enough to want to finish the final chapters tonight, but I will probably write a bitch post about it later...
More reading: yesterday-evening I finally continued with The Laurel & The Rose. I love that this story follows canon. Fools Interim nearly killed me, Separation Anxiety was even more painful. I have now reached He Sails Seashells By the Seashore. I hope the guys will make up after Horatio's fling with that French floozy *Boooo! Hisssss*.

I'm still only on Charcoal, but plan to read on this weekend (yay). And damn, why did you have to mention the French floozy? That hussy. *hisses too* I'm sure they'll make up, though. Mmm. Maybe I'll just go read a little now ;).

I got tired of reading it on the 'puter, so I've just printed He Sails Seashells By the Seashore it's a 36 pages-A5 booklet! Yum.
