Well, this was quite a special day: two clients (count 'm: 2!) sent big thank you's for a job well done. They were especially thrilled about how fast we put things together. Now, I'm not suggesting we usually deliver crappy work or are slow, but it's just not very common for people to say thank you. Mostly the hard work is taken for granted, so it's very nice when people show their appreciation. One of them even gave me flowers with a note just for me. *blushes*

I could spoil you with a short review if you like.

And heh, I'm pretty sure my Greek studies ruined the ending for me as it is, so go right ahead ;)!

For me '300' was mostly interesting because I was reading Anabasis, which has similar fighting scenes in it and is written in the same era (give or take a hundred years; the battle of the Spartans against the Persians is still mentioned, I guess it made a big impression back then;). I was impressed for about the first half hour, but after that I got a bit bored to be honest. It was all beautifully shot and obviously made from a very well drawn storyboard. But after seeing one fight in slow-motion I had the feeling I'd seen them all. Plus the massive amount of nipples on display was distracting from the story (I mostly got annoyed by the scenes of the women actually - I have issues;). I liked the way it looked (not specifically talking about the attention grabbing bodyparts;) except for all the beards. Yuch. Guys, really.
In comparison with that other movie inspired by Frank Miller's drawings, Sin City definitely wins, since that has a better story to go with the art direction. But '300' is a treat to the eyes and I think you might enjoy it. The overload of fightingscenes would classify it as a "guy's"-movie, so maybe you should bring your semi-boyfriend for his point of view. At least with all the action his talking during the movie shouldn't be as annoying as it can be:-p

And I'm not bringing the semi-bf because he has midterms this week and, being the mature and responisble adult that I am (and that he is not :P), I instructed him to study his ass off, heh ;).
