I don't know why I'm sharing this information

I've decided not to buy biodegradable pads anymore. I really tried, but the texture of these environmentally friendly pads is the same as the huge old fashioned ones they used to provide in hospitals (bought cheap in bulk I suppose) - the women in my family would lovingly refer to wearing those big ol' pads as "walking around with a loaf of bread between your legs"

I'm sorry, nature. There is only so much discomfort I'm willing to suffer for the sake of the environment.

Some people swear by the cup thing. It's resuable.

I've never tried it though.

I am using the cup, but it's not full proof, so I still need some added protection the first two days, hence the (small) biodegradable pads. But since I used to wear 'normal' pads as opposed to the smaller ones I need now, I have still managed to reduce the amount of waste. I just wish they were able to make biodegradable pads that don't fall apart after 30 minutes.

I can definitely recommend the cup, I've been using it for about two years now and it just feels so much cleaner than before (FYI I never used tampons, but I assume the cup is even easier to use/get used to if you have experience with those)

I so need a female icon.
