I'm gonna be so sore in the morning

I finally caught up with CSI this afternoon/evening but I'm not sure if I'm happy about that. I'm very disappointed about what TPTB did to Grissom; the pining is so completely out of character and it hurts my fangirl's heart. I used to love that man back when he was oblivious to the feelings of other people and would completely focus on the job. I think we've now seen the end of the soap-opera. I am aware I've thought this before, but I'm confident this was Sara's goodbye for real.
Besides stooopid Grissom the cases were also not up to the old level, but not all was bad. In two episodes I noticed some Nick/Greg moments, which made me smile. I'm hoping their scenes will be upgraded to giggle-worthy in the future.

Tonight I cleared out my attic - again. This time I had to make space for the contractor to change the window. Since the window is located behind my big screen, I had to remove that from the ceiling. It's an official filmscreen with an electronic mechanism for rolling it up and down and it's attached to a rather heavy motor in a huge metal casing. Removing that off the ceiling is not really a one woman job, but I managed. Then I tried to take down the casing and the final screw refused to budge... The crosshead was all fucked up and I couldn't get the damn thing out. I spent 45 minutes fighting with it, but the screw won. I have now fastened the casing back up with just one other screw and plan to find a solution with the contractor tomorrow morning when I'm handing him the key.
Changing the window is gonna take a week, because they also have to remove asbestos. I think they should be able to work around the casing and if they need more room they can just move it out of the way while it's dangling on the one screw (or if they are able to remove it, all the better;)
The muscles in my arms may be a little overstretched from all my efforts and my back and neck are not happy either. Still: it was worth it for at least getting the filmscreen down and to a safe place. I fear the attic is once again gonna be a mess when the work is done.

Oh, final thought on CSI: Eric Szmanda needs to be fed. Seriously. He's slowly disappearing.

\o/ And the contractor said I did a good job:)

Luckily Eric is still visible, but he is as skinny as young George, before the muscle-mania.

(I might save the next few eppies for our Marathon. I won't spoil you for the ones I've seen, just in case you managed to scroll over the not-very-specific semi recap, but you should know I'm hopeful for the rest of the season;)
