Land of Art [Phase 11] - Ch 6: Hide & Seek
(No I didn't skip a number; Challenge 5 is a BigBang Team Challenge, due in December:)
The Hide & Seek Challenge has several rounds; I submitted three fandoms for this in (pre-)Challenge 3 and so did other participants, so we start with a whole bunch of fandoms to choose from. After each round, random fandoms are eliminated to eventually end up with a winning fandom. If you chose to make something for one of the fandoms that are taken out, you lose a life. Every participant starts with three lives.
For the first round of Challenge 6 I chose to only make a banner for BladeRunner. Good thing I did, because all my submitted fandoms were eliminated, and now I only lost one life, pfew. Fortunately I can play on in the next rounds of Hide & Seek with any of the other fandoms my fellow Land of Arters submitted.
I'll add any additional designs I make for the next rounds to this post.

Haha, of course Extant was eliminated after round 3, so I'm down to one life, dundundunnnn.

Aaand Terminator was eliminated too:( So from now on I only get five points for each submission, no more points for surviving, aaaah.

1. Bladerunner (eliminated)
BEFORE. I added more rain (Source: Artpictures.Club)
AFTER. I also intensified the blood and Rutger's blue eyes (they really are THAT blue, actually)

2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Original photo is from an awesome photoshoot featuring Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar), Willow (Alyson Hannigan) and Xander (Nicholas Brendon) for Entertainment Weekly by George Lange (1997).
FONT: Grand Hotel by Brian J. Bonislawsky and Jim Lyles for Astigmatic
3. Extant (eliminated)
Wahey, someone submitted Extant to this Challenge, so I had a perfect excuse to go through my Jeffrey Dean Morgan screencaps *grins*. I lightened up the original image and edited the background.

4. Terminator (eliminated)
Sarah Connor is one of my heroes. I love her face in this screencap, but thought the red target light was a bit cruel (I know, epic scene, I know), so I fiddled with it and experimented with washed out colours. I still find it difficult to do something extreme with those; I usually aim to make them look as natural as possible. Quite pleased with the result

5. Buffy the Vampire Slayer (again!)
Added a quote from Legally Blonde, because her expression reminded me of that and went all out with the colouring:)

6. Dark Angel (eliminated)
Lightened up and cut a screencap from Dark Angel S1Ep16 - Pollo Loco
FONT: Romeo by S. Digital Type.
7. Angel (eliminated)
Lightened up and coloured the background of a screencap from Angel S5Ep20 - The Girl in Question
FONTS: Punk J= scretch by Douglas Vitkauskas for VTKS Design | BeeLike = Palimpus by Phillip Cavette.
8. StarTrek (winner! But since I had lost all my lives a couple of rounds ago, no extra points for me *pouts*)
BEFORE. Mixed a still of Captain Janeway with an image of Voyager in space.
AFTER. Quote from Startrek: Voyager S1Ep01 - Caretaker
FONT: So Foxy by PixelByPixel.

For your information; you can make any type of artwork for Hide & Seek, I just like to expand my collection of sigtags. They are great for experimenting with font combinations:)
