Help, I'm turning into a housewife
Jul. 21st, 2006 10:32 pmDon't tell my mom: I didn't have enough potatoes to put a layer of slices on top of my cauliflower-oven-dish. I'm not sure if it's gonna work without the proper topping...
Mom is working evening-shifts this week and couldn't come over for diner, but I bought too much food (don't ask) so I'm cooking this anyway and she will pick up her portion tomorrow on her way to work.
Fifteen more minutes... it still looks eatable...
I got the information-package on the Spanish course in Ecuador today (Seven days to go...). Now the freaking out is crawling up on me: "Should I bring my sleepingbag", "Will US-customs understand that I'm travelling through", "Do I need an extra flash-card for my camera", "I really should study some sentences before I get on the plane", "A book,
~dish is done~
(Pfew, it looks okay:-)
"a book, I need to buy a book", "Should I take my big daypack or the cute small one", "Socks, how many socks", "aaargh"
"Breath in, breath out: you've travelled before, you can do this", "But I'd rather spend the summer at home, comfortably behind my computer", "Oh, stop whining, it'll be great", "but, but..." "Shut up."
