Ten days ago I put up my final tweet and I've been trying to shift my focus to other social media instead. I do miss my fandom friends, most of them are still mostly active on Twitter. Just in case anyone is looking around for any interaction, I'm not only BeeLikeJ at Dreamwidth.org and Livejournal.com, but I keep a daily Dutch blog at Blogspot.com and also have accounts at http://fandom.ink & http://mastodon.social
You can also find me at Instagram / Gmail / Tumblr / AO3 / Spoutible / Discord / etc ;)

Here is the last picspam of my trip to New Zealand and Australia; I spent my final few days with my brother and his family in Newcastle. Besides daily walks to yet another beach nearby, I also was taken to a museum, an adult cabaret and a nature reserve!

Thursday, April 13: Newcastle Museum + The Party )

Friday, April 14: Memorial Walk & Blackbutt Reserve )

Saturday, April 15: Swimming in Newcastle Ocean Bath & walk at Macquarie Pier )

Sunday, April 16: Bondi Beach & flight Sydney-Dubai )

Monday, April 17: flight Dubai-Amsterdam )
The End! Thanks for coming along:)

Last week I had my offical summerholiday and I spent three wonderful days at Vlieland, the smallest of the West Frisian Islands in the Wadden Sea up North. (I put up some pics at my Instagram). Of course the reason I had only a few vacationdays left is because I spent them all in New Zealand and Australia after the conference in Auckland back in April;)
Here is the penultimate picspam of that big trip: some more time in Newcastle with my brother, sister in law and nephew, AND I went on a daytrip to Melbourne for a fangirl meet-up with [personal profile] majestic_duxk!

Monday, April 10: Bogey Hole in Newcastle, Train to Sydney (for nightbus to Melbourne!) )

Tuesday, April 11: fangirl-hang out in Melbourne! )

Wednesday, April 12: Pirate Point, Stockton, Newcastle with brother and nephew )

One more picspam to go...

Don't know how it has been a month already since my previous post, time truely flies! In between work, I visited brotherdearest in Amsterdam and I ordered a custom made bookcase that I then had to put together myself. Will share photos of that once I filled it with books;) First, lets continue my travelseries; last picspam I got off the train in Wellington, which is on the South of the North Island of New Zealand. Had a morning to explore the waterfront there before I flew to Sydney where I was picked up by my other brother, my sister in law and nephew for a bit of a family visit. Before traveling to their home, we got on a ferry in Sydney Harbour:) Below are also photos from my first day in Newcastle, where we walked along the beach. So I guess this picspam has a watertheme, enjoy!

Friday, April 7: From Wellington to Sydney )

Saturday, April 8: From Sydney to Newcastle )

Sunday, April 9: Newcastle Beachwalk )

More to come: the family will show me more beaches and I have planned a fangirl trip to Melbourne!

('cause I missed you! *clings*)

About one hour ago I arrived home from Australia of course the first thing I did was turn on the computer :-)
Today I will be busy with unpacking: sorting out laundry, souvenirs and.... photos. I've made 1877 photos, so I figured I'd treat you to five pics every day for the next year. *hysterical laughter*

...

Just kidding. But since I learned the presentation of my first ReverseBang artwork is postponed, I will have time this week to make a selection of a 'couple' of photos to give you an impression of my wonderful trip;)
My camera's battery needs recharging (haha), so for now I'll only show you a teaserpic, made by [livejournal.com profile] kennsea during my visit to Perth.

Kangaroos! )

I probably won't manage to go back through my whole flist of the past few weeks, so let me know if you want me to read anything!

Thanks for all the birthday- and holiday wishes, I'll respond to personal messages later. Hope my silly cards from Down Under reached you all, if not: happy new year, everyone!

Got up at 6 this morning to make that call to Australia to order my trainpass and make a reservation for the first journey. Talked to a very nice lady on the phone (whose accent make me smile because that made it official;) who told me she had been to my hometown and thought it was pretty and quaint:) I had already sent a mail with personal information, so all that was needed was my creditcard information. I gave her my number AND THEN MY PAYMENT WAS DECLINED... EEEp! The lovely lady stayed calm and said it wasn't a problem. Apparently this sometimes happens with international transactions and I should call my bank to explain. I was worried the cc-office would be closed this early, but gave it a try anyway and low and behold, I got someone on the phone! As it turns out they had put my card on a watch-list due to a recent possibly unsafe payment over the internet and I was adviced to get a new card as soon as possible. They offered to block my card right after I finished the Australian transaction. So I immediately called the railway back and we managed to get everything sorted right away. I received my confirmation two minutes later, woohoo! (Should get a new creditcard within a week at no costs)

Right now I just finished doing the dishes (yay, finally!) and cleaning up a bit in preparation for [livejournal.com profile] sillie82's visit. She should be arriving in about thirty minutes for a three day marathon of Supernatural, CSI and Being Human. I hope we survive the heat in the attic. (Summer- and actors;)
