I already mentioned in that Letter Meme from last week that I filled my E-reader for the first time this year. I had completely caught up with my bookpile and felt it was time for some good old fanfic. Turns out I was right: I was worried about getting back into it, but it felt like stepping in a warm bath filled with bubbles and my favorite scent, mmmmm. I've put up J2 story-recs in my readinglist. I've also read some awesome kinkmeme-fills and wips(!), mostly involving JDM. If you're interested in those let me know;)

This week I'm preparing for a marathon-weekend of fangirling fun with [livejournal.com profile] sillie82 (who made some awesome RB-artpieces by the way, check out the links here!). We'll be catching up on CSI S15 (we met in the Nick/Greg fandom) and of course on Supernatural:) More on that later.

Right now I'd like to extent some invitations. No matter how much we interact online or how long we know each other, this goes out to everyone reading this journal. (Yes, you too, don't be shy, I promise I'm as nervous about this as you, but how cool would it be to shake hands in person?)

Who would like to meet up at one or more of the following occasions? (Comments with suggestions are welcome too;)

LONDON, APRIL 4+5 )

I will watch the next two events on the big screen up in my attic. You are welcome to come over and join me! (Sleep overs can be arranged;)

The Eurovision Song Contest on 19, 21 and 23 MAY 2015 )

Hungergames marathon in the first half of November )

Anyone? You can PM or mail me: beelikej@gmail.com

Look at me, filling in a meme within a day of being tagged! But first a little update. I'm pretty sure I caught up with answering comments and checking up on my flist, if I did miss anything, poke me! Also: I made a couple of new SPN friends this week: hi! *waves*
In other fandom news: tonight is the final of CSI season 15 already. I still need to watch a lot of episodes before I can admit to what's going to happen. No spoilers, but thanks to my mod duties I already know it will have an effect on one of my eldest OTPs, dundundunnn...

Fortunately I still have the Supernatural guys to play with for another season, they will pull me through;) I signed up for [livejournal.com profile] smpc in April and am looking forward to claiming in [livejournal.com profile] spn_cinema and [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang. I'm happy to reveal that my next fanart-project is a collaboration with [livejournal.com profile] dugindeep \o/ We haven't settled on a posting date for this polyamorous (...) story yet, but I'll keep y'all posted on the progress;)

And now, without further ado.... The Letter Meme
[livejournal.com profile] cassiopeia7 gave me an E. If you want a letter to play, let me know!

Something I hate: EVERYTHING! Just kidding, although I am pretty much a cynical pessimist. Let me think, something with an E... Oooh, I know, I found a film I absolutely hated when looking for an answer to the last question: Employee Of The Month (2007) - I walked out of that. (Don't blame me for going to see it; it was part of the sneak preview program, where you pay for a surprise film)

Something I love: Eyeballs. No seriously, I'm a big fan and have several 'artsy' renditions of eyeballs though my house. I'll be ordering these cuties from Zoozim@Etsy after my next paycheck comes in.
My E-reader, which I have just filled with fanfic again after taking a break from digital reading in favor of getting through my bookpile;)
Also: The Efteling Fairytale Themepark and The Eurovision Songcontest (ssssht)

Somewhere I've been: England (London, a LOT, it's the theatre that's luring me in;), Egypt (2002), Ecuador (2006), Edmonton (Canada 1999), Emmeloord (Netherlands; lived there from when I was 8 until I was 18)

Somewhere I'd like to go: Edinburgh (when I had a chance to go there after walking the West Highland Way in Scotland, I opted for Glasgow (2001)

Someone I know: [livejournal.com profile] eledhwenlin, E. (my boss)

A film I liked: I'm ashamed to admit nothing came to mind immediately, because after I checked my my movieblog I realized I should have remembered Enchanted, which is one of my favorite films of all time. There's animation, Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and singing and dancing plus mocking that. Be still my heart.
Going through my record of cinema visits from 2004-2013, I also discovered some other beauties I'd like to recommend: Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind (2004), Elle s'appelait Sarah (2010), Elizabeth (1998 + sequel from 2007), The Edukators (2005) and Elephant (2004). Good thing I write things down, huh? Who knew there were so many good E-movies *g*

Speaking of London: I just booked the Knight bus for the first weekend of April. I'll be available for meet ups on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 (Easter) if anyone is around. (I hope to eat at Choccywoccydoodah and mother Mash, both are near Carnaby Street:)

A short update on life - I'm participating in The Greatest International Scavenger Hunt The World Has Ever Seen (Gishwhes;) so I don't have time for chitchat *grins*
Have been very busy at work with the yearly Christmas project. But despite a distracting intern and other 'small' orders in between, I managed to make my deadline and handed the document for proofreading to my client in time. Will hopefully get in back on Monday with final notes. At the last minute they decided to add four more pages, so I get to work on that too, woohoo. Everything should be ready for the printer's at the end of the week. I wouldn't be surprised if I had to work (more) overtime.

Had a couple of rough nights; my body is suffering from pms and it's exhausted, but I'm dealing. Was pampered by mom on Wednesday (awesome dinner and dessert) and we have been to the arthouse twice; first film Rabat was cool, second one (yesterday) was Code Blue which was nasty. (Both are Dutch films that probably won't be released anywhere else)

Today Jelle came over and we talked books and movies before sitting down for two films on the big screen: The Resident (in which landlord JDM and his beard are creepy to tennant Hillary Swank) and Recount (an HBO film about the Gore/Bush recount in Florida 2000, with Kevin Spacey etc.). First one was much better than I expected (despite the beard;) and second one was a bit too long but very educational and had loads of awesome actors.
(Before we went upstairs Jelle moved my spare monitor (a bulky old fashion one) from my downstairs bike-shed all the way up to my apartment. So glad I wasn't too proud to ask him for help, not so bad to have a man over once in a while;)

Oooh, almost forgot to show you the present Sinterklaas had left for me at my mom's house:
Look how cute! )

Only two weeks until official Sinterklaas celebrations start! Here are photos from previous years. I already have designs for surprise-packages in mind, but still have to buy most presents and then I can start the arts and crafts preparations:)

In between all of the above I'm also doing artwork for my second prompt in the Reverse Bang Challenge; that will be posted on December 7.

So if you don't hear from me until then, you know why;)

After the disappointment of finding out about the loss of my favorite toothpaste* I've had a fun packed week! )

So yeah, I'm feeling pretty good about myself at the moment. \o/

*If anyone on the flist comes across it in their country, I'd love to hear about it! Please mail or message me if you can get your hands on Colgate Max Fresh Clean Mint (the green sparkly one), tnx:)

**I'm wearing "Drink Me" from the Mad Tea Party set. It smells delicious, according to the descripton: "cherry-tart, custard, pine-apple, roast turkey, toffee, and hot buttered toast"! (I mostly smell the tart and toffee:o)

Had an awesome marathonweekend with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan, here's a summary of squee:)
Face it. You're a neo maxi zoom dweebie, what would you be doing if you weren't out making yourself a better citizen? )
It was once again a pleasure to have T. around: it was a marvelous weekend\o/
