Invitations...

I already mentioned in that Letter Meme from last week that I filled my E-reader for the first time this year. I had completely caught up with my bookpile and felt it was time for some good old fanfic. Turns out I was right: I was worried about getting back into it, but it felt like stepping in a warm bath filled with bubbles and my favorite scent, mmmmm. I've put up J2 story-recs in my readinglist. I've also read some awesome kinkmeme-fills and wips(!), mostly involving JDM. If you're interested in those let me know;)
This week I'm preparing for a marathon-weekend of fangirling fun with
sillie82 (who made some awesome RB-artpieces by the way, check out the links here!). We'll be catching up on CSI S15 (we met in the Nick/Greg fandom) and of course on Supernatural:) More on that later.
Right now I'd like to extent some invitations. No matter how much we interact online or how long we know each other, this goes out to everyone reading this journal. (Yes, you too, don't be shy, I promise I'm as nervous about this as you, but how cool would it be to shake hands in person?)
Who would like to meet up at one or more of the following occasions? (Comments with suggestions are welcome too;)
LONDON, APRIL 4+5
I have booked my hotel for London at Easter, so I'm now all set for a weekend of solitary fun. BUT! If you want to meet up for tea and a chat, a bit of exploring or just to say hi before each going our own way, I'm up for that:)
I have no set plans yet for all day Saturday April 4 and most of Sunday 5 April until I go to see Kevin Spacey on stage in the afternoon.
My places of interest include: Forbidden Planet at Shaftsbury Av and Hamleys in Regent St for shopping, Soho Square and the roofgarden at the Elizabeth Hall for reading, Choccywoccydooday and Mother Mash (both near Carnaby St.) for eating. I also want to try to get a ticket for a random theatre performance or film on Saturday evening. How about you?
I will watch the next two events on the big screen up in my attic. You are welcome to come over and join me! (Sleep overs can be arranged;)
The Eurovision Song Contest on 19, 21 and 23 May 2015
The Eurovision Song Contest 2015 is a huge yearly European event that you simply have to experience to understand;)
FYI: most songs are sung in English. If you haven't seen it before (I'm looking at you, USA), here are two videos to give you an idea of the very different songs that are competing: Last year's winner (Austria) and Runner up (Netherlands:)
This year Eurovision celebrates its 60th birthday and we've invited Australia to join in the competition too. Can't wait to see what they come up with! The contest consists of two semi-finals on Tuesday 19 and Thursday 21 May, and a final on Saturday 23 May 2015.
I plan to provide fitting snacks. Got any tips?
Hungergames marathon in the first half of November
The fourth and final Hunger Games film, Mockingjay Part 2, will be released on November 18. In preparation I will reread the books and watch the first three films. I offer blankies and comfortfood. Date to be announced, but it will be in time for the premiere in the cinema, that may be included in the program;)
Anyone? You can PM or mail me: beelikej@gmail.com
