Ten days ago I put up my final tweet and I've been trying to shift my focus to other social media instead. I do miss my fandom friends, most of them are still mostly active on Twitter. Here is the last picspam of my trip to New Zealand and Australia; I spent my final few days with my brother and his family in Newcastle. Besides daily walks to yet another beach nearby, I also was taken to a museum, an adult cabaret and a nature reserve!

Didn't do my daily post yesterday, but with good reason: I was busy working on my artwork for the

spn_reversebang. I finished my sketch, and it's ready to send to the mods. *sighs* I'm going for an early bird admission so I can do a second piece as well. Why do I torture myself with homework and insecurity inducing challenges. WHY?

Obviously I'm not allowed to share my design (and I'm not sure if I want to at the moment) but instead I have a really cool photo of Ruben to show you. Remember that Harry Potter marathon I organized in July? I made my nephew a special shirt for the occasion:

Right. Enough stalling. I will now send that mail. I WILL. *takes a deep breath*

Mom had a belated birthdayparty today. We gave her baby-pictures of my brothers and me, and although she was thrilled with those, the best present was of course cuddletime with grandson Ruben;)

Good company, delicious food, in short: great party \o/

I could of course tell you all about my train-journey to Amsterdam (had to change trains twice!) and how I bought brotherdearest the perfect gift for his birthday at one of my favorite stores (two huge Legos bricks and a 'baby head' at Dom Christian Koban) and how I miscalculated the distance from that store to Mail&Female (where I bought a gift for myself:) and how I ended up walking a lot with my load of shoppingbags because silly trams only go across town, instead of circling round the canals.

But I imagine you'll forget whatever I tell you as soon as you know I only took pictures of the main event of the day; cuddling with my nephew Ruben ( who is still the cutest cuty-pie in the whole world )

Poor brotherdearest Hans, who treated us to cake and made a lovely dinner. There is no winning when baby R is in the house;)

I knew it was too good to be true: got a message from the online drugstore that the toothpaste I ordered was not available anymore. Told ya.

So now I'm all pouty. Fortunately the other brother put up some awesome new photos of his son Ruben. ( aka my nephew: )

Look at that face! Isn't he adorable? There are only a few boys in the world that are able to make me smile and he's on top of that list;)
