Despite all that's going on in the world, my week was pretty ordinary: I went to work daily (managed to read a story from my book Sleepily Ever After, Bedtime Stories for Grown Ups every lunch this week, woohoo!), got groceries on Monday, did Aquarobics with my mom on Tuesday and went over to her place for dinner and Netflix on Wednesday, did some more groceries on Thursday and fell asleep on the couch that night.
There were a few special events: I got stung by a wasp (!), backed-up all my LJ photo-albums, voted in our local elections on Wednesday (my party won), had a massage on Friday afternoon (read on the bus back and forth) and fell asleep on the couch after finishing my book The Magic Toyshop by Angela Carter.
This morning I did my weekly weigh-in, in the afternoon I did the dishes and I just updated my daily Dutch blog:)
Now it is time to update my Dreamwidth and LJ with the graphics I made for Land of Art! Here they are:

Ch04_PH18 - So That's Your Favorite TV Show )

Ch05_PH18 - V is for Villains )

Challenge 6 - Icon Battlefield is still being voted on, so those icons will be revealed later;)

Ch08_PH18 - This One's For the Girls )

Ch09_PH18 - I've Got You Covered )

Pfff, what a month it has been! Or, months, really. I feel like I've been occupied with moderating the [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang forEVER. I didn't even have time left to check out the art or fics myself! Now that this event is done and the masterposts are up (SPN art&fic & RPF art&fic), I want to write a 'Day in the Life of a Mod', but first I need to get some other stuff out of the way.

I didn't have time to do a full picspam of our Sinterklaas celebrations, but for those of you who are curious about the creative part, I did share the surprise packages I built in my Instagram.

In between modwork and real life work, I did participate in a couple more challenges for [livejournal.com profile] landofart. Due to lack of time, I had to skip a few Hide & Seeks, as well as Challenges 14 (Mirrored) and 18 (My Favorite), which both seemed awesome, so I hope they will return in a future Land of Art Phase. Challenge 16 was a Halloween puzzle challenge and is therefor not included in my graphic designs below (I didn't solve the puzzles very fast, but I did earn 20 points for my efforts, yay).
If you missed it, previous creations for Phase 17 are here: Challenge 1-9. Below you'll find all the rest:

Challenge 3 - Hide & Seek )

Challenge 4 - Rainbow Things )

Challenge 10 - Who Did It Best )

Challenge 11 - Colored Association )

Challenge 12 - Bookmarked )

Challenge 13 - Hallowed Treats )

Challenge 15 - Being Profiled )

Challenge 17 - Christmasfy )

Comments are lovely, questions and concrit is also welcome!

To catch up with all the art & fic in fandom, I haven't joined any current events. Hopefully I can get creative again next year, we'll see.
If you have any recommendations of (recent) fanworks, let me know! I plan to dive into fandom in between work and making New Year's cards;)

Still fiddling with my artwork for the QuickyBang, but so far I'm making more progress in [livejournal.com profile] landofart Here's an update with mylatest graphics, starting with a teaser sigtag I made just for meeeeeeeeeee:

That was originally a tumblr gif I made for the fifth challenge, you can see the bigger size below:)
(While Jeff is scrumptious here, this film is really one of the worst I've ever seen and he plays a real jerk. When I watched this with [livejournal.com profile] sillie82 (a long time ago) we managed about twenty minutes before we just started to fast forward to every Jeff scene;) Anyway, on with the artwork:

Challenge 5 - Letter Association )

Challenge 6 - Happy Birthday )

Half a day of work to go until the weekend. I'm so ready for it! How about you?

The last challenge of Phase 11 started right at the beginning (hence number 5). It was a whole list of different design items for the teams to work on during the whole cycle. We had to hand in all as a team and got individual points and teampoints. I made 2 gifs, 1 picspam, 1 tumblr graphic and an extra colouringpage; three of these designs feature Jeffrey Dean Morgan, *grins*

Since I'm spending a lot of time in old fandoms these days, I figured I would also treat [livejournal.com profile] felisblanco to some nostalgia on her birthday;)

Some additional good times with Angelus and Spike... )
Have a great day :-)

Brotherdearest came over yesterday and I made a cauliflower-ovendish, which was delicious (if I do say so myself;) We talked about life, computers and traveling. He's going on a trip to Bangkok/Singapore/Indonesia next week and we went through my old photo-albums to check for places he should try to visit. I haven't been to Bangkok, but I spent a couple of weeks in Indonesia with the other brother in 1996 and had a three day stopover in Singapore in 2000 on my way to Australia (jeebus, was it really that long ago?). It was fun until brotherdearest felt it was necessary to mention that he was now the same age as I was in those pictures. Haha, little brother, haha.

Anyway...;)

Of course we ended our evening up in the attic to continue our everlasting Buffy and Angel marathon. We saw Angel S2Ep5 Dear Boy, which was AWESOME (Darla! Sexdreams! Lindsey minus hand (gosh, Christian Kane was wicked in that) & Ep6 Guise Will Be Guise, which was awful (a comedy episode that fell flat on its face, literally. Okay, Angel pouting that he wasn't a eunuch was quite funny, but the rest was yawn worthy) and Buffy S5Ep6 Family, which was all about darling Tara. *happy sigh* That was mm-mm good. (ETA: Forgot to mention the added bonus: baby Amy Adams!)

This morning we had a luxury breakfast before brotherdearest went home again (to host a big party). It was great. Can't wait for him to come back in a month and share his travelstories:)

Tara: Your insect reflection represents your insignificance in terms of karmic cycle.
Anya: It's still not funny.

Started reading Season 8 of Buffy The Vampire Slayer today. Wow. It's just as awesome as the tv-series! Challenging story, brilliant dialogues and gorgeous artwork. Thanks to Mike and [livejournal.com profile] nick730 for recommending this! I'm definitely going to collect all the books:)
