For my first spn_reversebang of 2022, I submitted my papercut puppetmaster artwork in the Either category, which means the author had the choice to either play in the SPN or the RPF corner. I had deliberately kept the facial features of my papercut art neutral, so the author could also pick the roles for the characters. I was thrilled the story ended up being a Supernatural AU, with the artwork turned into a more metaphorical puppetmaster. Go read the fic to find out who's pulling the strings...

Most of my furniture is still stacked in big piles in my living room, but the first thing I did when the builders were done with the interior work, was to set up my computer and arts & crafts corners:) While the renovation to the outside of my apartmentbuilding continued, I worked on my second claim in the SPN_J2_BigBang. I chose to play with watercolours to illustrate this fic. Of course I also had to do a little papercutting and I made an animation! Here's the result of my fiddling:

There were many different short fics on offer in this round of the quicky_bang. For my second claim I chose a story with a whole bunch of intriguing tropes; it has timetravel, young Dean & older Sam plus Mpreg! Anyone of those may not be everyone's cup of tea, but as an artist I love to explore all sorts of visuals and I really wanted to put Dean in that big old leather jacket again;)

This was not my first try at imagining Mpreg, but I had not tried to capture it digitally before, and it took me a while to figure out. The result is an endbanner that's behind the cut, together with animated Making Ofs of the storybanner. If you want to see full size versions of either one of the banners, simply click on the images. She's hopeful that this summer she will finally find the love of her life. She even has a list detailing everything she wants in her Prince Charming. But when two men enter her life, Heather suddenly needs to figure out what she really wants – and whether handyman Ian Dexter or rebel-artist Jared Ward figures into her happily ever after. Right away I made Jensen the hairdresser and then I tried to set him up with different people in my head. One of them was always Jeff, and he was a handyman for a while, but I already made him a contracter last time, so this round he got to be the artist:). Danneel was cast by RL Jensen himself, when he was so eager to color her quarantine hair and with him being proud of her DIY skills. How could I ignore that?

Summary/Concept: With his Cut & Curl Salon (for Ladies & Gents) Jensen Ackles has a succesful business – now he´s hoping to finally find love. When two charmers enter his life, he needs to figure out what he really wants – and whether handy-woman Danneel Harris or rebel-artist Jeff Morgan figures into his happily ever after. (Or both...)

My aim was to give it a TV romcom promo feel and I had fun making a logo in Illustrator and then putting them all together in Photoshop. May I present:

For this year's first spn_reversebang I wanted to do less hands-on arts & crafts and I wanted to see if I could create a paperlook digitally. After claiming, my author came up with a wonderful concept for my torn-up Jeff photos and I ended up playing with real paper for the additional art. I still got my dose of digital fiddling though:)

Unfortunately due to RL circumstances, the author wasn't able to finish the fic, so I'm posting art only at this time.

This is the description/prompt I added to the artwork: Jeff's face at different ages, torn apart, but forming a complete portrait. Jensen is looking at him. Is this a vision of the man (men?) of Jensen's dreams? Is this a sweet stalker fic? Or maybe a time travel experience? Go wild, go long or go short, as long as these two get together at least once (to snuggle or for sexy times...) I can live with a sad ending as well as a happily ever after;o)

Within five minutes after staking my claim in the spn_j2_bigbang I got a message from the author and I got even more excited about the fic I had been able to grab! I already loved the summary but when I found out who wrote it, I didn't have any doubts that the whole story would be great. She's one of my favorite fanfic authors who always adds extra layers of thinky thoughts to an already exciting plot. I had a blast squeeing behind the scenes and tried to capture some of the awesomeness of this story. I'm all giddy that I can finally share this collab with y'all:) Enjoy!

Yay, I had time to choose another short story to make art for in the quicky_bang! I had originally planned to do a digital design, but then this fic had a sexy visual that I had the perfect paper for it, so I was inspired to create another papercut piece.

I had a fun time (un)dressing Sam, find out in the fic how Dean feels about it!

Jane had to deal with theatrics growing up – she won't tolerate them in someone hired to work on the house she and her two best friends have just inherited.
Dev could renovate the mansion in his sleep. But ever since the prissy owner spotted him jet-lagged, exhausted and hit hard by a couple of welcome-home drinks, she's been on his case. Yet there's something about her. Jane hides behind conservative clothes and a frosty manner, but her seductive blue eyes and leopard-print heels hint at a woman just dying to cut loose!

I had a blast working in Photoshop and playing with Jeff and Jensen, I hadn't done neither in quite a while. Hope you enjoy my fiddling too:)

For this year's spn_cinema I wanted to experiment more with paper animation, so I chose a film with a very imaginitive production design, that I of course turned into a playground for J2. I also managed to sneak in Jeff and Chad, but it would take too much time to explain how they fit in the story. If you've seen the film, you may be able to picture them as Jared's co-workers;)
