For my first spn_reversebang of 2022, I submitted my papercut puppetmaster artwork in the Either category, which means the author had the choice to either play in the SPN or the RPF corner. I had deliberately kept the facial features of my papercut art neutral, so the author could also pick the roles for the characters. I was thrilled the story ended up being a Supernatural AU, with the artwork turned into a more metaphorical puppetmaster. Go read the fic to find out who's pulling the strings...

Having been in the SPN/RPF fandom for a long time, I didn't think I would still be discovering new authors 2022, but I did! Even better; it's someone who writes my favorite rare pair OTP, or should I say OT3? Because it's Jensen/Jeff, but Jared gets to play too. (And then it's Jensen/Jared with Jeff watching, woohoo! Plus they are all nice to each other, which I love the best of all:) It gets even betterer than that: there's a whole new series of short fics (~4500 words each), that can be read as stand alone or as a big fic that explores polyamory and Dom/sub relationships, including negotiations and after care. *clutches heart*

If any of this is relevant to your interests, go check out amill22's I'm gonna teach you some french series. So far it's four parts (noir, blanc, bleu and vert) and that's plenty, but there's a promise of even more!

There's excellent new stuff for fans of Dean/John too by amill22, I recommend let me feel you: He’s strong, muscle built from hard work, but right now, the expression on his face makes him seem fragile, the unbridled need for reassurance in his eyes making John almost feel sick to his stomach. It makes Dean look so weak, breakable. Fortunately, this is something John knows how to fix. How to make Dean feel connected and wanted and most importantly, not alone.

Last but not least, a golden oldie rec that I reread recently (and a LOT) Across the Line by ashtraythief: Jensen put himself through college as a phonesex operator. It didn’t really do much for him, except for his Friday night regular JD. When Jensen takes a new, more respectable job after he graduates, he comes face to face with the man whose voice he only ever heard before.

It's been a hectic couple of weeks; after lots of loud drilling during the preparations of the renovations in my apartmentbuilding, the builders started on the changes in the individual apartments. To escape the noise, I moved to my mom for this month, so I can continue to work from home (we're still not allowed back to the office full time). I hesitated to join in this year's spn_j2_bigbang because of these circumstances, but I couldn't resist this lovely fairytale of Fae!Jensen's visit to the human world!
I had to plan to do the main arts & crafts at my own place in the weekends, while on weeknights I fiddled with paint and paper at my mom's (who also has a collection of all sorts of creative materials:) Playing with clay and paper was a great distraction from the stress of the renovation. Within five minutes after staking my claim in the spn_j2_bigbang I got a message from the author and I got even more excited about the fic I had been able to grab! I already loved the summary but when I found out who wrote it, I didn't have any doubts that the whole story would be great. She's one of my favorite fanfic authors who always adds extra layers of thinky thoughts to an already exciting plot. I had a blast squeeing behind the scenes and tried to capture some of the awesomeness of this story. I'm all giddy that I can finally share this collab with y'all:) Enjoy!

SPN_J2_BigBang 2020 - Artwork the first

As has become tradition when doing a second piece of artwork for the spn_reversebang, I chose to play with J2 (my first always involves JDM *grins*). I came into this fandom through fics that feature the whole old CW gang and for old time's sake, I wanted to create a prompt that had all of those guys in it. Then I came across a photoshoot about people on the beach and one of the pictures gave me the idea for surfer dudes. The merman didn't pop into my head until I started sketching. (More about that in the making off).
My author took my prompt back to Jared and Jensen's childhood and that inspired the storyheader I made. May I present to you:

Full disclosure: I had not seen Disney's Beauty & The Beast when I claimed that animated film for spn_cinema back in August. It's just that after hearing Jensen refer to Jared as 'Gaston' yet again, I wanted an excuse to buy the DVD and watch it;)

It was... not what I had expected. Without spoiling the film for anyone, let's just say I was baffled by the harshness and cruelty in between the charming moments. I had fun giving it my own more positive twist.
The look of the film is mostly old school animation and I was pleasantly surprised by the cool design of fairytale slides that introduced and ended the main story. I used that drawn stained glass look as inspiration for the visualisation of my cast (no points for guessing who is my Beast:)

When I was already lucky in the first claimround of this year's spn_j2_bigbang I figured I shouldn't be greedy for more. Yet this summary kept calling out to me, so when it was still available in round two, I grabbed it so I could get kinky with papercutting. *grins* I love that even though the story begins at an BDSM party, it's grounded in day-to-day life and yes, it even comes with a 'kid fic' warning/enticement;) My artwork focuses on the J2 relationship though, from PG-13 to R-rated goodness.
