If anyone wants a NewYear's card from me, they can leave their address with this post - comments there are screened. (Or mail me: beelikej@gmail.com)
That is also the post where I share a bit of behind the scenes arts & crafts of card making, in case you're curious;)

Once again I hesitantly signed up for the [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang; I love the challenge dearly, and have participated from the start, but the stretched out schedule is not really my thing. I'm not good with long term planning and loose interest in arting after a while. But I had an idea that was fun to play with and hopefully it will inspire an author who can in turn spark my muse again to keep playing until posting in February... I do like to fangirl and collaborate with fellow fans, so there's that too;)
There will be preview post on Tuesday (Nov. 22) and claiming is on Saturday (Nov. 26). Exciting!

Despite my reservations about setting up dates in the far away future, I am already busy planning a trip to London at the end of March 2017. *grins* I got tickets to see Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (with Daniel Radcliffe!!!) and Don Juan (with David Tennant!!!) and will be getting together with at least one fangirl while I'm there.
If anyone else is in the neighborhood, let me know if you want to meet up for tea:)

Oh, speaking of Daniel and David: I had a splendid time rewatching all the 8 Harry Potter films last weekend. I was joined for the final film by brotherdearest and friend, who was a total newbie, haha! I had made butterbeer (truely delicious) and also served lots of other HP snacks, it was awesome. I had managed to reread the first six books beforehand (see also my LND picspam) and am now rereading the final book. (Will as usual skip the epilogue:-p)

Last but not least: I had a Hot Stone massage this afternoon. Recommended! Am all warm and snuggly now <3

Wahey, the fangirl weekend with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan is ON! Despite our busy lives and bosses who threatened to sabotage our plans with changing schedules, we are finally gonna meet up again next weekend. Yay!

Also: I signed up for the [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang, in the artist corner of course, so nothing to do but cheer on the authors until May. Go, authors, go! *\o/* You're all awesome:)

Dismissed my first sketches, but narrowed down my art ideas for this Sunday's [livejournal.com profile] smpc and will hopefully get it close to done before the weekend (to finish and post in between real life fangirling;)

And now I will do some preparations for a new mystery art-project that came up today and which I'm very excited about. *Mona Lisa smile*

I'm writing bookreviews today. Well, bookbabbles really, since I can't be too coherent about most of the books I'm reading at the moment. I usually only read one book at the time, but I only had a couple of pages of the appendix of De Oratore by Cicero left, when I couldn't resist starting in Stephen Fry's The Ode Less Travelled. Then I discovered the books had certain expressions in common, so I wanted to write about that, forgot to put them back in my backpack and ended up reading my emergency book (What? Like you leave the house with only one book for the road). That last one is The Xenophobe's Guide To The Dutch which turns out to be a lot more accurate than I expected. Of course the book is much more right about the good stuff than the bad, but I may not be the most average person in the Netherlands, so I fear even the things I don't agree with might be true *g*.

I will post the reviews in bookcommunity [livejournal.com profile] thej2bee, you are welcome to join or lurk;) The first review I'll put online today is from a book I read a while ago The Adventures Of Tom Sawyer

While I'm stating in my original review I bought the book for my classics collection, the truth is a bit different. The real reason was a major crush )
