Dare to be different and learn to be lonely

I had an extralong weekend because May 5th is a national holiday and I had saved up loads of overtime training new people in the past few weeks, so I took Monday the 4th off as well. I had planned to do another Japan picspam, but then I spent all Sunday on the couch with a book and loved that so much that I did that again today.
Yesterday I caught up online, cleaned out my Gmail box and did another landofart Challenge. So once again I didn't get around to selecting photos from the final few days in Japan, but you can see a little travel sneak peek in my previous LoA post when I made photocollages of buildings, which also includes pics of London and Dallas, from when I did that roadtrip in the USA in 2015!

Below are my latest Land of Art designs for Round 2 of Hide & Seek, which is a long running challenge throughout Phase 14, where you make graphics based on given themes. P.S. I reread Margaret Atwood's The Handmaid's Tale, and followed up with The Testaments. Still don't feel the need to watch the TV series, no need to convince me. These are the kind of books I love for what they are:) <3 Last time I spent all day reading a book from beginning to end in a day was when the final Harry Potter book came out. I missed being able to do that:) Book recommendations are always welcome!

Ugh, sometimes I really wish there was a decent commenting-option on Tumblr. Because occassionally I do want to add my opinion but apparently one can only do that by reblogging and that's exactly what I don't want to do with certain posts. I prefer to not spread misleading images any further. So I'm venting here instead;)
This morning I came across a photoshoot JDM apparently did for People's magazine. His face is heavily photoshopped and lost all its character. What the fuck did they do to the lines around his eyes? More importantly WHY would someone do that?
It truely makes me want to scream - at the editor, the photographer, whomever is responsible-, but not in the least to all the people who are liking and reblogging the image. What the hell, am I the only one bothered by this? Don't you see what they did to him? (and in extension to all of us?) Dammit.

I don't understand people who use Tumblr for blogging, but it sure is a nice place to share pretty:) I mostly just scroll through my dashboard and save the posts that make me smile in my like collection. Sometimes it's geeky, sometimes it's TV- or film nostalgia and sometimes it's artsy, but it's always stuff that makes me feel nice. My like-list has become my go-to place for when I'm feeling a little blah and it always cheers me up:)
