Had an awesome marathonweekend with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan, here's a summary of squee:)

Fridaynight
T. was two hours later than planned thanks to strikes on public transport and inexplicably disappearing trains in between our two countries, but eventually she arrived for dinner. I made a cauliflower ovendish that I had timed perfectly with her delayed time of arrival (thanks to Twitter and G-chat;). After dessert (creme brullee mousse) and some catching up we went to the attic to start our CSI marathon with the final of S10 and the first three episodes of S11 before bedtime.
Good start (if we forget about the journey;)

Saturday
We started the day with a leasurely breakfast and then went upstairs again to continue with CSI S11. With lunch and dinner in between we managed 11 episodes (we skipped Ep13 because I didn't want to rewatch the GSR;). I hadn't seen the latest episode and, boy was it angsty and intense. No spoilers here beyond that it was a perfect end of our marathon session.
We caught our breath with two films: The Breakfast Club (1985) and Easy A (2010). A lovely combination, even as it started as a challenge for me to prove to T. that the latter was NOT better than the classic Breakfast Club;) But I must admit Easy A made all the right references to 80s highschoolmovies.

Despite some computerissues, another brilliant day.

Sunday
Ahw, the final day with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan *pouts* But we made it a good one. After breakfast we watched two more highschool/college films: Another Country (1984) and The Curiosity of Chance (2006) - thank you, Jelle for recommending these! We happened to watch them in the perfect order: the first is rather gloomy and the latter is a bit more uplifting:)

We had some time left after lunch for one more session up in the attic and we picked the first episode of Being Human. I had planned to watch S2 and S3, but I found out T. hadn't seen anything after the initial pilot, so we started at the beginning and I gave her a DVD with the rest of the first series as homework for next time:)

It was once again a pleasure to have T. around: it was a marvelous weekend\o/
