After a lovely cold shower I leave the hotel around 06.30 a.m. I have thought about flying back to Quito, but my back feels good enough to take the eight-or-so hour busride. (Hey, I'm supposed to travel low/no-budget;-) I get on the 7.30 bus. Bloody hell: another Steven Segal movie on the road. I haven't mentioned them in my travelblog before because I tend to focus on the view outside the bus, but so far I've seen Under Siege and some Jean-Claude van Damme movies. This time it's Under Siege 2 and it's a good thing it's the final part of my journey, because I don't think I can take another action-flick from the WTF-genre.
Except for a short stop around lunchtime, it's a continuous ride and around 4.00 p.m. I arrive in Quito. There it takes me another hour to get from the busstation to Rosa's place.
While I was away some other students arrived, so tonight I will share Helene's room. Together with the new chica's, Helene, Joff and Rosa I enjoy my last diner in Quito: Rosa made traditional zupa and noodles with meatballs. We (try to) talk spanish and spend most of the evening in the kitchen:)

Next day: from Quito to New York
