Beauty and brains, my favorite combo.
Dec. 31st, 2006 12:21 pmI love Jon Stewart. Passionately.
I was watching The Daily Show (Global Edition) and he was talking to Bill Kristol about Iraq and asked exactly the right questions. Plus he was able to stay civilised, which is so much better than the way I would've reacted after hearing a line like 'Bush was right to start the war, before they brought the war to us'. WHAT THE FUCK? Jon just stared, thought about that for a second and then replied. And won the 'argument' - in my opinion:)
I wish I had taped it and I tried to find a transcript, so I could quote exactly what was said and do both men justice. And maybe I will edit this later, but for now I just wanted to share my love for Jon. What a man, what a man, what a mighty good man. One of those please. With or without whipcream. Yum.
EDITED TO ADD
Bill Kristol -Editor of the Weekly Standard- said: 'Bush has been right about taking the war to them, not letting them come to us'. You can see the interview here (thank you Hans, for giving me that link:)
