beelikej: (Panic)
So, Tanni and I just got back from the concert and we are still giggly and high. It was awesome. A much more coherent post will follow tomorrow - WITH PICTURES (The venue was adorably small and we were so fucking close to the stage) If you already want to get an idea of what we experienced tonight, go watch their performance at the Hovefestival in Norway. They played the same set tonight. Did I already mention it was awesome? :-)

I can't stop smiling. :-)

EEEEEEeeeee!!11!!1!! OMGUGUIZ: guess who we saw walking across the street when [livejournal.com profile] nielsvaneekelen was leading [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan and me from the Utrecht trainstation to the venue yesterday afternoon? Go on, guess why I punched Tanni in the arm like a spaz... EEEEEEEeeeee!!!11!!!1!! It was security-Zack and the Panicboys! No pictures were taken, because we are both well behaved fangirls, so we simply smiled and stared while they passed, but the image of Brendon, Ryan, Jon, Spencer and Eric out in the wild is burned into our brains *grins like a loon*. Of course we were totally cool about it and calmly continued our walk to Tivoli. There we found a tiny group of fangirls hanging outside. Since the concert wouldn't start for hours, we went into town all afternoon.

Utrecht is a good town for shopping and sightseeing. When we passed some marketstalls with scarfs and fingerless gloves, we were joking how that street must be like heaven for Ryan Ross. Heh. That's when he walked right by us (on his own!) I got a really good look at the sideburns, yay! We spent the rest of the afternoon sitting in the townsquare, snacking and watching people.

At 7 pm Tanni and I walked back to Tivoli and waited outside, while we had fun watching EmoBabies and counting male fans (more than you might think). At 7.30 the doors opened and we discovered Tivoli to be a charmingly small venue, with bars in the back and a clear view of the stage from all over. We picked a spot right behind two very pretty boys we could ogle until the concert. What? We were harmless. Besides: pretty boy no. 2 was making out with his boyfriend, how could we not watch? (I may or may not have -accidently- caught them on camera;)

Around 9 pm Panic came on stage and it was AWESOME. The music was great and the guys were just as sweet and cute and adorable as we had hoped.
I have no words to describe how perfect this day and evening were. So in stead of incoherent squee and inappropriate thoughts about Brendon's gorgeous ass and his blue underpants, I give you the setlist and a selection of pictures I made:

After the concert we bought T-shirts (that only came in kiddie-girl sizes, so I'll probably have my mom turn it into a pillow.) and we scored posters. \o/

This was truely one of the most perfect days in my life. And I want to especially thank Tanni for making me see the light and inviting me. *hugs tight*
