I should sent this link to the bossman
Apr. 6th, 2009 12:16 amRemember how a month ago I was scolded for checking my e-mail (and twitter and blog and journal) during workhours? New research has shown that banning me from surfing the internet may not have been in the bossman's best interest:)
( Complete article, just in case the link dies )----
I love how she mentions that "chatting with coworkers or colleagues [is] the last thing someone who's uncomfortable dealing with groups or office politics wants to do."
That is so true for me; during my breaks, I'm used to going outside, doing groceries or, if I'm staying in, sit down with a magazine or book. One of my co-workers attacked me (verbally;) for 'not joining the group'. Oh, I'm sorry, I thought breaks were meant to be relaxing, not stressfull, which is exactly what they would be, if I would be forced to spent time with idle chit-chat just for the sake of being social. I do my job by myself, I need to unwind by myself.
