How to love an elephant
Oct. 4th, 2009 02:48 pmGot up early yesterday for the 10.16 train to Amsterdam, where I met
artistic_sillie. Armed with a map we wanted to find the elephants on the Elephantparade.
In between hunting we managed some time for shopping; I bought a whole bunch of toothbrushes (the rough kind) at the White Teeth Shop and scored two more bottles of Kings & Queens Honey-showergel at DOM. S. found a huge arts-supply store, so she could treat herself to some goodies too:)
The highlight of the day were of course the elephants; we found 78 (of the total of 113?). Our favorites are pictured in my photoblog, who wants to see the elephants?.

kennedy_unknown; pics on the square in front of the Westerkerk are especially for you.
artistic_sillie; I'll send you a CD of all the elephants;)
We had dinner at Subway and went to see The Half Blood Prince. (J's second time, S's first:). I was now able to see it without being distracted by memories of the book. (And finally noticed why Jelle and Hans had togiggle snigger during the Quidditch try-outs; Cormac McLadden has indeed a very impressive broomstick.)
The weather was stormy all day, but luckily the only rain fell while we were watching the movie. Walking in the wind was sometimes a struggle, but mostly kind of cool.
I caught the 21.27 train back home and got home around 23.00 o'clock, exhausted but very very satisfied. It was an awesome day:)
