My feet are frozen

This afternoon mom and I visited the grandparents; it was my grandfather's birthday today. Last week he had a nasty fall and he cracked his pelvis. After two days in the hospital he's now staying in a rehabilitation center for approximately six weeks. He was in a good mood though and to his surprise a lot of family showed up for his 89th birthday:)
Mom and I also spent some time at home with my grandmother, who also seems to be dealing well with the situation. Pfew.

On our way back home we had dinner at McDonald's; I treated mom to a Dutch DeLuxe Burger and picked a Quarter Pounder menu for myself \o/

Tonight I made good progress with my Big Bang designs. I had planned to do some pencil work for one of the stories, but I'm slowly realizing that I'm too rusty to visualize my ideas on paper (not that I ever was much of an sketch-artist;). I'm not ready to give up on that yet, but I have been doing a lot of prep work in Photoshop *hugs computer*
