The latest challenge in ![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-community.gif)
landofart was called Yo ho, yo ho, a pirates life for me! Obviously this meant that your design had to feature pirates in any shape or form:) From the allowed types of graphics I chose to make Bookmarks, because I like experimenting with those vertically focused dimensions of 300x800 pixels. (Click on the image for the full size version)
I did some research for female pirates and learned about Mary Read and Anne Bonny of whom I found cool old drawings (probably wood cuts from the look of it) that I used in my creations.
For my other two bookmarks I played with some old art I had made myself for the 2011 SPN Cinema Challenge, featuring J3. I fiddled with Pirate JDM:
