Back from London, baby!

Came back from three glorious days in London yesterday night. I had a great time:) Mom and I both already did the touristy thing there, so we could focus on shopping, food and musicals. I made loads of pictures. I parked a selection in my photo-blog, if you want you can skip all the words and just follow the links below each daily summary;)
I'd love to hear what you think of my new shoes (day 2;)
Will catch up on lj later. Let me know if I missed anything important?
Thursday, July 30 - Day 1: Left my mom's house around eight in the morning to catch the city bus to the station. Took train to Rotterdam, changed there to Brussels on time for Eurostar to London. Arrived there around 4 pm. Stayed in Hotel Royal National, in a room with a bath (oh yeah).
Went to Leicester Square to score cheap theatre tickets for Avenue Q. Went shopping in Covent Garden. Had dinner: delicious Jacket Potatoes with bacon, chicken and avocado. Theatre at night was good fun (had Häagen-Dazs during intermissionval)
Had a big bubblebath before bed. Perfect.

Friday, July 31 - Day 2: After a 'continental' breakfast we took the tube to Camden for some good ol' shopping. Mom had fun at the market (she'd never been there before) and I scored awesome shoes. We also ran into a filmcrew; if in the future you ever see 'Chatroom' by Ruby Films, be sure to check out the extras in the background!
We dumped our stuff in the hotel and continued shopping in the afternoon in Oxford- and Regentstreet. We also went to Carnaby street and in an alley we discovered a lovely cafe: Mother Mash. We had delicious mashed potatoes and pies. Then we finished our shopping experience in huge toystore Hamley's; of course we couldn't get out without buying arms full of stuffed animals and other goodies;)
Finally we went to musical We Will Rock You in the Dominion Theatre (I saw it years ago with Gayleen and had wanted my mom to go ever since;) We came outswinging rocking!
I spent my night in the bathtub again (What? I only have a shower at home)

Saturday, August 1 - Day 3:
We slept in a bit and went downstairs for breakfast around 9.15 am. We left the bags with the concierge and went into town to Regentstreet for Habitat and other stores we didn't have time for yesterday. We had planned to take the tube back to the hotel from Piccadilly Circus, but when we got on the train there was an announcement about a bombthreat at King's Cross/St. Pancras station (yes, where we had to catch the Eurostar train). All underground traffic in that direction was stopped, so we had to walk all the way back to the hotel. Luckily I always plan emergency time when travelling, so we didn't have to run. We even had time for a tiny rest in Russel Square park, then got our bags from the hotel and walked on to the international trainstation. When we got there it was all safe again and we passed customs without problems (although they did check other passengers's suitcases very thouroughly). We got to our train on time! After about ten hours of travelling we arrived at my mom's around 10.30 pm. I cycled home around 11.
