Date: 2009-12-17 10:42 pm (UTC)But still not a blizzard. Snowfall =/= blizzard. Definition: severe snowstorm with strong winds and poor visibility. For a snowstorm to be classified as a blizzard, winds must exceed 56 km (35 mi) per hour and the temperature must be -7° C (20° F) or lower.
Sorry, people have been saying blizzard all day and it's annoying the crap out of me, :p!
Did you get a foot of snow like Jolanda did? We got no more than 10/15cm, which was apparently enough for all public transport to freak out. Bah.
