beelikej: SPN behind the scenes S7Ep5 (Work Out Jared)
[personal profile] beelikej
Oh, all the LJ-posts I write in my head: squeeing about that JDM-J3 tweet, ranting about Jared's FB thing (not at him, mind you) and also the USA presidential elections (because WTF, right?). But alas, I lack time and commitment, so instead have a quick update on the torn calf situation...

Yesterday I overstretched at the supermarket because leaning on the cart made me forget I couldn't actually walk properly:( I spent the whole evening with an icepack and my leg up, (and my mom had come over to take care of me) but today I was in pain as my calf kept having these little spasms, ugh.
I did go to work, I can do that sitting down with my leg up after all and it offers a good distraction, but getting there is a hassle. The bus and the walking with crutches I can deal with, but to leave my house I have to get down lots of stairs from the third floor and especially getting up again at the end of the day is exhausting. So tomorrow I have a sick day and I will stay up in my appartment to give my leg some complete rest.

Due to the injury I had to limit my participation in the Hero's Journey 60 day Work-Out RPG, but I'm still trying to keep up with our little LJ group as best as I can. Besides alternatives for standing/jumping exercises, I have my own training program to get my calf up to speed again.
When I visited [livejournal.com profile] amberdreams last weekend, her husband gave me an excellent step-by-step schedule to rehabilitate my leg. Here's what I've added to my daily work-out:

So how are you all doing? I haven't been keeping up with LJ in the past few weeks due to the injury and travels, but aim to do better in the future;) There may be some more art this weekend (in case you missed it: my latest Quicky project was watercolours!) but first I'll tell you all about that trip to the UK: prepare for a picspam!!
