beelikejLast Saturday I went to Amsterdam to visit brotherdearest and to do some bookshopping. I had planned this before I was aware it was the day of the Canal Parade of the GayPride week. I'm not a fan of big crowds, so I spent most of my day in the not so busy part of town with my brother, exploring the new subway (plus the archeological finds that were dug up) and visiting the This Is Holland experience across the river. But before all that, I did snap a few photos of the great vibe in the city centre and along the canal:)

I did dress up a little bit for GayPride (I'm wearing my AKF I am Enough/Love Yourself First rainbow top and my SPN_J2 underwear;)
First time on the new subway from Central Station to Vijzelgracht.

This is Holland...
Brotherdearest and me in the This Is Holland experience. Recommended when visiting Amsterdam; you see the whole of the Netherlands from the sky. Gorgeous views and very cool special effects to make it feel like you're really flying:)
Rokin Metrostation; marble art of all the items they dug up during excavation. In between the escalators is a permanent exhibit of loads of these objects. (You can also browse through the marvelous archives online!)

De Pijp Metro Station: the deepest station on the Noord/Zuid Line and the deepest railway station in the Netherlands.
Strolling through de Pijp neighbourhood. Art deco and a fun car design:)
