beelikejHey hi, how is everyone doing and... where is everyone? I'm spending most of my online time on Instagram. Meanwhile I'm hoping more people will join Mastodon or a similar open network so we can all hang out in the same timelines again. I didn't do any fandom challenges this year (as moderator nor as an artist) but from March until June I did join Land Of Art and made graphics! Due to work, all the traveling and home projects I didn't get around to posting them before, but today I'm putting them online, before the next Phase starts. Let's see if it all fits in one post...
Oh, speaking of home projects, I said goodbye to my 2005 aubergine couch and bought a new colourful bespoke couch from the Dutch Seating Company (dsco.nl) LOOK:

Anyway, here are a bunch of graphics (I did sneak in a couple of fandom faces:)
Challenge 1 - Panoramic Tags
Combine Panoramas with Sigtags; create a piece of art that is either 600x150 or 600x300 and then cut it into sigtag size of 300x150.
In my first effort I already anticipated the sigtags when creating the Panoramic collage, which wasn't really the intent of this challenge, I still like the result though:)
For my second set I allowed myself to be a little more intuitive and not think of dividing my panorama, so the sigtags were a lot more surprising :-D
Challenge 2 - Being Hunted
This was the Scavenger Hunt with 51 things you can create, 51 things you can find. As this was also a Team Challenge, due to lack of time, I only did that part and I claimed 6 things to create and 7 things to find (I'm a Hufflepuff;)
1. Create a color pallette for your favorite villain (min of 5 colors)
4. Create a colorbar or panorama of a favorite character (min. 5 icons)
5. Create a duochromatic bookmark with a male character of your choice
16. Create a header showing both day and night in one
17. Create a header using only two colors
49. Create five icons of five different characters with the same first name
Sam Seaborn, Sam Winchester, Sam Finn, Sam Ryan, Sam Malone
3. Find a GIF of the main title from a TV Show
9. Find a screencap of a character in their fighting outfit
22 Find a screencap of a full team from a TV Show
15. Find a screencap of a character wearing a ballgown
39. Find or take a photo of a fandom item you own (Ex. books, funko pops, etc)

Challenge 3 - Hide and Seek
A multiple rounds challenge to get your favorite theme/category the most points. The goal of the game is to create art for categories to get base points. Move a theme up on the board to get moving up points. You can also get additional points if a category you created art for ends up in a certain place, or into first place. This Phase's categories/themes: Aliens / Criminals / Detectives / Emergency Services / Fantasy / Medicals / Military / Musicals / Sci-Fi / Supernatural. There is a maximum amount of pieces per round.
Round 1: I did 3 wallpapers.

Round 2: I did only one Phone Wallpaper, because this was in the middle of my business trip to New Zealand. (I had prepared this one before traveling)
Round 3: 3 wallpapers, 2 tumblrgraphics, 3 picspams

Challenge 7 - Hide & Seek Backgrounds in Films
Ooh, this challenge was my suggestion! Graphics with a focus on Backgrounds in Films: characters, scenery, objects, special effects, animals. Here's what I made over two rounds:
CHARACTERS: 1 Banner (800x300)
(Made this one while traveling: I only had MS Paint to work with!)
SPECIAL EFFECTS: 2 picspams
OBJECTS: 2 picspams + 2 wallpapers
Picspam: Wilson (Cast Away)
Picspam: Cornetto Trilogy (Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, The World's End)
Phone Wallpaper: plastic bag (American Beauty)
Wallpaper: origami crane (Blade Runner)
Challenge 8 - Competition Fantasy Vs. Sci-Fi
Total Art: 3 Sci-Fi (1 banner + 1 picspam + 1 insta-photo)
I also handed in some Golden Tickets for this category, but in the end Fantasy won, oh well.

Challenge 9 - Color Battles
A long battle with 5 rounds between a whole bunch of creative colors in four categories: Shades, Environmental, Marvel/Royal, Random. I had sent in a few suggestions for this challenge: A Bouquet of Roses (shades of pinks to reds) / Orange monochromatic / A gradient from mint green to cinnamon / Waves of water (shades of blues and greens) / Skin pastels / Pale greens / Neon colours. None of these won, but I of course voted for most of them in the first few rounds;). Here's a chart of the whole competition. You could make Icons (100x100) or Sigtags (300x150)
