Yesterday I went to Amsterdam with [livejournal.com profile] artistic_sillie:) We've met there twice before for movies and perving shopping. This time we added a special mission by request of [livejournal.com profile] kennedy_unknown. He may not even remember asking for this, but we blame him for walking through the rain to do the touristy thing:-p Most of these pictures are from the road to the Anne Frank House. Unfortunately the queue to get inside was too long for a proper visit. Hopefully these outdoorpictures will do for now.

See? Way too many people with umbrellas. So we decided to go back into town for some shopping. Because we are shallow like that.

Okay, two more touristy pictures: the side-entrance of the Westerkerk (the church in the fourth photo) and - my favorite - a random crocodile on the roof:)

After shopping we went to Rembrandt's square, where we had a little snack before going to the cinema for I Am Legend (which I may or may not comment on later) Oooh look: pretty lights!

After the movie we took a tram to the station and got on our different trains home. I had the pleasure of picking a seat close to a loud mouth racist. I managed to politely let him now how I felt about his (drunk?) speech and was able to move to a more relaxing place to sit. Unfortunately it was a bit hard to focus on my book (Stephen Fry's The Ode Less Travelled) because I kept being distracted by my wandering mind. I hate when people get to me like that. Grumble.

But I made it home safely, was very exhausted and went straight to bed. I unpacked my bags this morning and lookie what I found: tons of good stuff I bought! Yay!

Books: Fokke & Sukke (studentcartoons) and The Time Traveler's Wife (I had to have my own copy:)
DVD's: Oprah's 20th anniversary BOXset, Filthy Rich and Catflap S1, Queer As Folk S2
Toys: remote control for men and women (no batteries required - powered by positive thinking;) and the wrapped ones in the right-hand-corner are from Mail & Female (Because I spent so much, I got to Pull-A-String for an extra pressie, wahey!)

I had a great day - I only have one tiny complaint...

Dear Sillie's mom,

Be prepared: next time I will probably also drag your daughter along to see a movie. She most likely won't be back home in time for dinner. But I will make sure she has a somewhat decent meal. If I promise not to pervert her any further, will you promise not to call during the movie again?

Thanks,

J.

Now I'm off to play with my brand spanking new toys:) Later dudes. Much later. *g*
