But dinner was perfect

While I was cycling to the Arthouse with my mom, I hit a pothole. Damn thing got me real good in the crotch. Ouch.
They turned up the heat in the Arthouse again: I nodded off several times during the film. So much so that I kind of lost the plot at the end. Oops.
Now I'm gonna try to get into bed before midnight. Watch me fail.

Date: 2008-03-27 11:12 pm (UTC)It was The Kite Runner, which my mom wanted to see after reading the book. She was a bit dissapointed, I didn't get what all the fuss was about (I haven't read the book). I just didn't care much for the main character, but I was mostly annoyed by my inability to stay awake. I blame the heat, not the film;)

Maybe the movie would've been better in different circumstances?

Date: 2008-03-28 08:37 pm (UTC)I don't blame the movie for dozing off, but I doubt I would've liked it better if I had seen all of it. Although I could see the potential of the story, the main character's actions bothered me and I didn't understand his motivation for behaving the way he did. All the people he interacts with are more intriguing.
From my mom's point of view, the book is much better, so I guess if you are interested, you should read rather than watch the story;)
