Grumble and squee - with pictures
Nov. 29th, 2007 10:52 pmI'm so tired of this two steps forward, one step back ride. This morning was hell: the pain made me nauseous, it was horrible. I had to take a pink pill again, after days of not needing one. But in the afternoon I was even able to do some work sitting down behind my Mac. So much better than using the stand-up-straight-stool.
Luckily there is more than just work to take my mind of my physical limitations:
Since last week the small town I work in is overtaken by loudspeakers to spread evil Christmas Carols and other crappy happy music. Two of those are right under my office-window. Every afternoon they start the program of joy with a children's choir performing up-beat versions of old Santa-songs. After that it gets even better: imagine the worst in-your-face-happy song you remember -from any decade-, sung by second rate artists, played too loudly on an old fashioned hifi-system. Sing-a-long.
I scored some awesome boots this afternoon and they were only 7.50 euros! Plus no laces I need to bend over for:)
For the second evening in a row I enjoyed a very wintery dessert: Cherry-Chocolate-Custard. Mmmmm.
Tonight I decided to -finally- check my herbs & spices collection that has been with me since my time at university. Ehm "Best before... 1997"? I think it's time to get some new stuff *g*
Evidence in pictures:)
