I get excited at the things that you do

Ow-ow-ow. :( I forgot what a pain it was. *whines* Now I remember what I missed last month. Hrmpf. I'm gonna distract myself (and you) with a musicmeme:
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload, if you feel like it) 5 songs that start with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.
crayola123 tagged me with the letter 'E'!
Wham - Edge Of Heaven
"boom, boombadaboom, boombadaboomboomboom, boomboombadadadada
boombadaboom, boombadaboomboomboom, aaaaah,
ladadadadada YEAHYEAHYEAH-ladadadada, YEAHYEAHYEAH-yeaaah...", etc.
Duurrrty. Me likey. :-D
Blur - End Of A Century
When I got this CD -a long, long time ago- the lyrics were very relevant to me:
"And the mind gets dirty - As you get closer to thirty"
(And that was before I knew what happens when you get closer to forty. Wow:)
The Police - Every Little Thing She Does Is Magic
I suspect everybody recognizes the feelings in this song.
"I resolve to call her up a thousand times a day
And ask her if she'll marry me in some old fashioned way
But my silent fears have gripped me
Long before I reach the phone
Long before my tongue has tripped me
Must I always be alone?"
Ben Luhrman - Everybody's Free (Wear Sunscreen)
I love this advice. And I loved it even more when I found out it was based on a column by a very wise woman (The essay "Advice, like youth, probably just wasted on the young" written by Mary Schmich). Brilliant text: "Advice is a form of nostalgia, dispensing it is a way of fishing the past from the disposal, wiping it off, painting over the ugly parts and recycling it for more than it’s worth."
Placebo - Every You Every Me
I admit I have to be in the right mode to appreciate Placebo. This is ultimate emo. You have been warned.
Athlete - El Salvador
I'm not sure if I understand what this song is about, but it makes me smile and sing a long:
"Fly to el salvador, I don't know why and i don't know what for..."
Eels - Mr. E's Beautiful Blues
Oh, come on, it totally starts with an E. "Goddamn right it's a beautiful day"
Terrorvision - Easy
HA! One of the three songs with that title in my collection. This one is not famous. It should be. If only because singer Tony is such an adorable bad boy.
"Hassle bound? Not me, I'm happy and it's easy and it's free."
