Pretty.Odd. looks pretty pretty

So after whining about my food issue this afternoon I decided to get busy in the kitchen. If I was gonna eat, I might as well put some work into it;) I made poffertjes!
From Wikipedia: Poffertjes look like tiny pancakes, but they are much sweeter. In contrast with pancakes, poffertjes are turned before one side is completely done, which results in a much softer core than pancakes have. Typically, poffertjes are served with powdered sugar and butter.
I baked mine in vanilla-flavoured oil and didn't serve them with butter, but with a dollop of cherry-jam. I decorated them with powdered sugar and cinnamon. What? It's like dinner and dessert in one!

That burner in the upperleft corner looks gross, but actually it exploded and now is all rusty, I don't use it, but it's clean;)

It's always a bit of a gamble when to turn them.

Tadaah!
One batch of batter makes about 150 poffertjes. I did not eat them all, I saved enough for two more dinners in the freezer:)
I ate them while I watched the last two episodes of CSI on the big screen. (zOMG, if you've seen 'm, let's talk?) and was very satisfied afterwards. Good dinner:)
I'm not sure if I mentioned my sadness about the haircut here, I think I only tweeted about it? Anyway, I posted pics of my new style braid. If you can even call it a braid
I also tweeted about receiving the vinyl LP of my DeLuxe edition of Pretty.Odd. I think I'm still supposed to get a CD/DVD as well, but the awesome design of the albumcover was already worth the money (including shipping and handling): Look how pretty!

Date: 2009-03-09 08:54 pm (UTC)I had my hair cut into layer years ago. Never again, 'cause yeah, braiding? Not really happening. It are the kind of things you don't think about at the hairdressers until you try it at home and find out it's not really working anymore. :'3
That being said... your hair looks awesome. *nods*
