Had a marvelous fangirl weekend with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan. In between watching all kinds of good stuff on the big screen up in my attic, we talked about life, politics, traveling, fandom, pretty boys, handsome men, glorious girls and kick ass women, as you do. Here's a list of what we watched plus a bonus Aiden Turner in Being Human expressing all of our feels in a set of pictures I stole from Tumblr;)

Friday night: after a long journey Tan arrived around 22.30 and after we caught up with tea and speculaas, we went upstairs to watch the latest CSI (S13Ep14). Not much fuel for the fandom in which we met all those years ago, but at least we got some satisfying music references from Greg and we had fun bitching about Nick's eyebrows (what the fuck, dude?)

Saturday: we spent most of today in my fancy cinema seats, although we did go downstairs for proper food in between munching on chocolate and marshmellows:) We started with The Big Fat Quiz Of The Year 2012 (hosted by Jimmy Carr), chosen because of team Jack Whitehall and James Corden, who were as lovely and ridiculous as expected, but we were also treated to the new muscle arms of Russel Howard and the dry humour of Richard Ayoade, woohoo!

We followed that up with three episodes of new tv series Bad Education, written by the aforementioned lovely Jack Whitehall, who also plays one of the disfunctional teachers. It was hilarious and sweet:)

In preparation for the Who concert in July, we watched Quadrophenia (1979, watch the trailer for a short impression). I forgot how full of teenage angst that film is. Splendid music as well, obviously.

Next movie was Stonehenge Apocalypse, which was so bad it was good and Misha Collins never looked better, yum. Definitely an award for the dialogue writer(s) and the horrendous accent of all the people who pretended to be British. ("You're having a laugh, aren't you?"). This was especially fun to listen to after watching an actual English film;)

We ended the day with another dose of Bad Education and a rewatch of the first three episodes of Being Human (the original UK series with Lenora Crichlow, Russel Tovey and Aidan Turner;) My goodness, that was intense!

Sunday: after breakfast we watched the sixth and last episode of Bad Education; we hope there will be another series of this!
Good we had a bit of fun, because today's movie was Inglourious Basterds. I hadn't seen this since its release in the cinemas in 2009, and it was as suspenseful and awesome (and harsh and cruel) as the first time I saw it. Excellent film.
After lunch (with the final batch of freshly baked croissants) we watched another episode of Being Human, one with lots of Aiden Turner. As it turns out as vampire Mitchell he had all the emotions we went through this weekend.
So let me end with a set of screencaps I found in Sabriiel's Tumblr, entitled:
Mitchell has three settings:

~GLOOM~

~DOOM~

and

~CUPCAKE~

Different vampire and a different ghost, I believe. I've seen some .gif's (and a clip or two) on Tumblr, and it does look pretty awesome. :D

Yep, that's right. Although I'm not as emotionally invested in the ghost's story, as I can identify better with the werewolf and vampire (hehehehe) - I approve of the new ghostgirl too. Plus the series has good music and the episodes are almost an hour long, which is great for in depth story telling:) I'm putting it on our watchlist. (I understand SPN is pretty cool at the moment as well; I only saw gifs, but Dean's room definitely gave me feels, not to mention Sam's glasses;)
