It could be worse; I could be bored

Got up ridiculously early today, determined to get things done after quickly catching up online during breakfast. It's now more than four hours later and I haven't moved from the spot. *shakes feeble fist at the internet* I've been a bit blah this weekend and don't really feel like rehashing the past week, so I'll just entertain myself and possibly you with some seemingly random photos.
Did I already tell you about my new camera? A few weeks ago I finally got myself a new camera, to replace my good old Canon Ixus 50 that refused to zoom out after zooming in. I now have an Ixus 140 that I need to get comfortable with before I actually need a camera (P!atD-concert in November! Trip to Australia in December!). The first set of pictures is me fiddling with the zoom...

Noticed this bird at the busstop.

Zoomed in to frame it neatly in between the tree and the sky.

WOah! Superzoom makes me feel like a sneaky sniper: got ya, bird!
On Thursday after work, I broke the zipper of my trusted lunchbox/book bag (the knitted shoulder bag from Ecuador). I figured I'd use my old backpack on Friday yet discovered on the bus that I had already killed that zipper a long time ago. Oh right, that's why I switched bags in the first place. Oops. During my break I went shopping for an emergency bag, but I actually found my new favorite funky bag. Check this out:

It has a front pocket for my small stuff, a big zipped pocket that comfortably fits my lunchbox, book, e-reader and waterbottle.... but that's not all...

It also comes with this funky flap-over thingy that secures with Velcro for extra protection. I AM DELIRIOUSLY HAPPY WITH THIS BAG.
Yesterday I made photos of my meals. This may turn out to be a series, but seeing all the other projects I'm currently not working on (Hello, RB-artwork) maybe not...

For breakfast I had a glass of orange juice (the pulpy kind) and a big bowl of yoghurt. I had some ordinairy yoghurt left, that I mixed with 'vanilla-yoghurt', which tastes like a combination of custard and yoghurt.
I don't quite understand why the portion-size of the latter is supposed to be smaller: 150 ml vs 200 mls for ordinairy yoghurt) Am I to use a smaller bowl to fool myself into miscalculating calories? That's just silly.

For lunch I made hot chocolate in my Harry Potter Marauders' Map Mug and I treated myself to a couple of slices of cornbread. (I'm saving the whole wheatbread for workingdays;). Toppings: hagelslag (chocolate sprinkles - what? Is that a Dutch thing to put it on bread? Surely more people must have discovered how awesome that tastes together), appelstroop (apple butter) and peanutbutter. I also added two types of sausage (cooked/smoked and grilled) to get something salty. Omnomnom

Dinner was supposed to be store-bought pizza, that I spruced up a bit with extra cheese and sausage. I don't know what happened in the oven, but it came out a big soggy pile of disaster. Still tasted good, but not exactly what I was hoping for. *shrugs*
I'm hoping to write a ficrec post later today, after commenting on all the marvelous stories I read in the past week. I also still need to do that BigBang reclist. Right. I'll get on that. Right after I take a shower, have lunch and check the internet for things I missed while I got dressed. Squirrel!
