Dare to be different and learn to be lonely

No update on my personal paperproject WIP; I've been focusing on other art projects. Besides the genre challenge for spn_cinema, I also signed up to make a piece of art for smpc in December. It was a brainstorming weekend. (Okay, fine, I've mostly been procrastinating, I had a rough week, mkay) I also made a cake, there may be pics of that later.

I sat down to -finally- watch S04Ep12 from Shameless, had not seen the series before, but JDM played a little part in this episode and I just couldn't resist any longer. You may remember I already squeed about that back in April ( check out that fucking head tilt) Dayum that was a fitting role. I wish they could have had him return for S05, but I guess he wasn't available with all those film projects, busy bastard.

I also caught up with CSI and just had to capture some scenes of my favorite guys...
No case-spoilers, just pretty. And a beard. *sighs* Oh well.

Blah, still needed to go outside on Saturday, because I had totally forgotten to pick up my bike from the repairshop on Friday afternoon. I also completely forgot to have dinner, I blame it all on hormones and the internet. (Not like that, you perv.) Fortunately today was a full pajama day, haha! This will be my final post of the weekend, it's been a while since I've had time to spam y'all like this, it felt nice to be involved with LiveJournal again. Poll to pick your favorite Nick/Greg Banner for CSI:S15

I was rather worried to post that Winter Soldier artwork; not only to have made art outside of the SPN fandom (and knowing not a lot of people on my flist would be interested) but also outside of a challenge or collaboration (the solo-est of all solo-projects;) Still: it was a fun project and the receiver was happy, so I'm happy with the result. Not sure if I'm up for another commission though, that was scary.

Next up: another solo project. Although that will feature an SPN favorite, so hopefully more flisters will want to see that *g*

Now it's time for TV. There are two shows I'm currently watching: The Great British Bake Off on BBC every Wednesday and the Dutch version Heel Holland Bakt on Sunday evening. I could watch bakers every day. *chinhands*

Even though I'm now quite active in the SPN_J2 fandom, I'm also still keeping an eye on my original OTP in CSI. Not my first fangirling couple, because that was in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom, but all those Whedon pairings (het, slash, fem;) were practically canon. CSI was where I first noticed (un)intentional subtext on screen and the Nick/Greg fandom was the reason I started this journal, so it will always have a special place in my heart.

To show old and new fans that the chemistry between those guys is still there, I decided to document my squee for season 13 (THIRTEEN!!!). Hope you join me:) Enjoy.

Nick is in a pissy mood and gets drunk, says he's gonna quit (again).
In the mean time Greg investigates Ecklie's shooting. He lets Nick stew and then makes him pay for behaving like a brat by letting Sara have at him.

I may do meta/whine posts on Nick's hair in the future. Because what the hell? I also noticed something interesting about his big ass ring, will share that in later investigations;)
