Even though I'm now quite active in the SPN_J2 fandom, I'm also still keeping an eye on my original OTP in CSI. Not my first fangirling couple, because that was in the Buffy the Vampire Slayer fandom, but all those Whedon pairings (het, slash, fem;) were practically canon. CSI was where I first noticed (un)intentional subtext on screen and the Nick/Greg fandom was the reason I started this journal, so it will always have a special place in my heart.

To show old and new fans that the chemistry between those guys is still there, I decided to document my squee for season 13 (THIRTEEN!!!). Hope you join me:) Enjoy.

CSI: Cute Subtext Inquiry, Nick/Greg edition
Nick is in a pissy mood and gets drunk, says he's gonna quit (again).
In the mean time Greg investigates Ecklie's shooting. He lets Nick stew and then makes him pay for behaving like a brat by letting Sara have at him.

Sara, Nick, Greg are watching the newsreport in the breakroom.

Greg: Sounds like the LVPD is making a come back.

Sara: Words have consequences, you know. I mean, if you say you quit, you need to mean it.
Nick: You quit.
Sara: Well, yeah, but I didn't say it out loud. I left a note at reception for Grissom and I walked right on out of here.

Nick: Aaaand you're still here. So don't preach to me about integrity, okay.
*cue yelling match*
Sara: Wait a minute, I'm not preaching to you about integrity, I...
Nick: You kind of are, a little bit, don't you think?
Sara: ...I went away for a while and I got my head together...
Nick: You got a lot of nerve to talk to me about quitting, you really do...
Sara: I went on a break...
Nick: Seriously?

Greg: *shares look with Nick* Actually, it is. But: we are also a team.

Ohmygod, Nick's hair makes him look really old. DO NOT WANT :(.

I don't understand this hairdo at all, with the weird back comb and the party in the back, oh Nick. *shakes head* I do like the grey sweater though, mmm arms.

I DON'T KNOW HOW GREG CAN STILL LOOK LIKE SUCH A BOY. You may be on to something.

I love how Greg jumped in all authorative and then ruined the effect with that realisation, heehee. It was so much fun to see Nick and Sara bickering like brother and sister again. I missed that.
