Get the fuck off my soundtrack

Just got back from the Arthouse. I kind of loved the film (Het Echte Leven / Real Life), but the music they picked for the soundtrack was annoying. Do you know what: I really hate Janis Joplin. Seriously. I love the song Little Girl Blue, such gorgeous words, they truely do not need drama on top, mkay? I first heard it sung back in the eighties by Mathilde Santing, with Fay Lovsky on keyboard if I remember correctly. So beautiful. I have a recording of this performance. This weekend I will finally hook up my recordplayer to the computer again and make an mp3. Dammit.

I'm sure it all feels real to her, but I do not need that much emo in my songs. *shrugs* When I hear her sing all I can think is "calm the fuck down, woman".
