not funny

My shoe broke. The sole just snapped through the middle. I noticed it on my break this morning, when I was walking through a puddle. Not funny. It looks like the other one won't last long either. And I can't go home to get another pair. Since that would take a little over two hours and I still have plenty of work to do. Grumble :-(

Also: I suck at negotiating. I was supposed to ask for a lower price on an acrylic case for my new computer. And I just couldn't get the right words out. That'll be the full 100 euro then. Oh well.

Computer update

Oh dear: when I wanted to order the acrylic case online, I got a message that they had just removed it from their site, because it was out of stock. :-(
Then co-worker Sander said he'd seen one in the tiny computerstore in the village. I didn't believe him, since our office really is in the middle of nowhere and I had been looking all over the world the past weeks to find one. But he was right: probably the last one in the country, right there, only a five minute walk away from work! No wonder they wouldn't bring the price down (I tried;) I am now the proud owner of an acrylic case. Ehm, the parts of an acrylic case actually. Because I have to build it myself...
