Grumble

1. This afternoon I had a doctor's appointment for an audiogram. As it turns out that's the test with the headphones and the annoying beeps. The doctor didn't even bother to show up for that: her assistent did the honours. Apparently my right ear is okay, the left score was a little off the chart. Now I have to make a new appointment to hear the doctor's interpretation of the result. Because I also need to take another bloodtest - in the clinic (to see if the new eating-regime improved the thyroid-action) I'm gonna do that first, before I take more time off from work.


2. Because the sink in the shower is clogged I had also made a semi-appointment with the plumber. For the record: I already disassembled and cleaned all the bits I could reach and the plumber is included in my rent. I had mentioned I would be home from three o'clock, because the guy on duty will call the minute he's ready with his previous appointment to let you know he is on his way. When I still hadn't heard anything at four I called him. He didn't think he was gonna make it today. So I need to reschedule for next week. That's another (half) day off from work. Sigh.


3. That cool bedcover I saw in the shop at the end of my last paycheck is nowhere to be found now that I have the money to buy it :-( I think I'm gonna go back to a single bed: those covers for kids are way funkier.
