Blood, sweat and tears
Aug. 4th, 2007 11:12 pmThe day didn't start very well, with full blown cramps, back-ache and the depression that goes with the whole ordeal. I really shouldn't have started painting while I was in that state of mind and body, but I so long for my livingroom to be turned back to normal, I went ahead with mixing colours anyway. After I painted the first of the lines across the whole length of the wall (It took me about an hour to do the whole 9.50 m) it turned out it was so not the green I had wanted to put on the wall. There were tears - I blame the stupid-girl hormones :,-(
After some cursing I took a few deep breaths, decided to call mom to cancel our movie-date for the afternoon and planned to have a little nap. But before I could catch some sleep I had to try to fix the ugly green. I found it was possible to cover it with a layer of pretty green, pfew. I also decided to stop mixing paints for the other lines and to buy an official colour for the rest of the project.
I went to bed and an hour later I felt confident enough to continue. I bought a purple that was about the same colour as the couch. It had to be made in the shop and it looked a lot lighter in the bucket than on the sample, but the guy who mixed it said it would be okay once it dried...
I got back home around six and I finished painting three lines of different heights and colours just before the sun went down. I'll have to wait until morning to see the final result, but I'm happy with how it looks and tomorrow I'm gonna move the furniture back, not matter what;)
OMG: my artwork has been censored! I'm so proud:-)
P.S. I'm a little behind on answering mail and messages. I'll catch up tomorrow.
