I posted two bookreviews in
thej2bee:
Aidan Chambers - Dance On My Grave - I usually only read on the bus to and from work, but I just had to crawl into my comfy chair and finish this book. Beautiful.
Philippe Besson - His Brother - I absolutely adored Besson's first novel In The Absence Of Men, but this heartbreaking story is also well worth a read.
Reviews of the following will -hopefully- follow soon...
Since I didn't want to risk losing Jelle's book at the concert, I brought another book with me on the train. So now I'm not only reading Red Carpets And Other Banana Skins by Rupert Everett (on loan), but also Portnoy's Complaint by Philip Roth (because a certain cute singer said it was "interesting"... Hmmm, so far I can summarize it in two words: whining + wanking.) And after borrowing books from Jelle I forgot I had already started reading Problemski Hotel by Dimitri Verhulst. Let's try and finish these before my vacation starts (JULY 8th!!)
In the mean time Metamagical Themas by Douglas R. Hofstadter is on hold, because brotherdearest wanted it back to share with his friends, I'm stuck at page 400. You can find links to reviews of the first part in my readinglist:)
