beelikej: (Fireworks)
[personal profile] beelikej
State of mind: see icon. I have my music on loud enough not to hear all the fireworks, but just knowing people don't play by the rules and lack patience to wait for New Year's Eve is pissing me off. I try to distract myself from exploding, so here is a meme. I saw several people doing that 'what I did in 2008'-thing, but I don't want to relive my woe and am sticking to the random questions. My answers are probably too revealing again. Oh well. Behind the cut they go.

A. People who have been tagged must, if they choose to participate, write their answers on their blog and replace any question that they dislike with a new, original question. Please italicize the new question if you do that.
B. Tag eight people. Don't refuse to do that. Don't tag who tagged you.

01. What are your nicknames?
I don't have any. I had to pick one when I worked in Summercamp (thrice!) and I hated it. It felt like I lost my identity. It took me ages to come up with a name that was worthy of representing me online. BeeLikeJ says it all really (the bee instead of be is a clever play on my last name;).

02. How do you style your hair?
I twist it into a messy bun and put a clip in to keep it together. Occasionally I will braid it. In highschool I used to put big art pieces in my hair, but I have grown lazy and go for quick and easy these days. I don't need to make big statements anymore.

03. What's new in your life right now?
Ehm. I still consider the friends a new feature.

04. How many colours are you wearing now?
Grey boxer briefs, blue jeans, green top, blue longsleeve, black knitted sweater with a colourful Betty Boop on the back that my mom made for me, ehm twenty years ago(?). Oh and pink stripey socks. That's six? I try to mix and match, but it's mostly about comfort.

05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Introvert

06. What was the last book you read?
Bonk by Mary Roach, about the study of sexual physiology. A review will be written. Eventually.

07. Do you nap a lot?
Never in the middle of the day, no. I do sometimes pass out on the couch in the evening. But I do most of my sleeping at night in bed. Mmmm, bed.

08. If you had to have a one night stand with someone famous, who would you like it to be?
Aw, trick question; you want to know my current crush, don't you? I'm not going public with that one, it would ruin my fantasies (not to mention any chance of ever actually getting physical with said person). But trust me when I say I never had nor ever will have a one night stand with anyone anyway. It's not how I roll. Not even with a gun against my head. Or for a question in a meme.

09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
The feelings, bb. If you've read my lj, you will know. I've already said enough on the subject. Stooopid feelings. *kicks pebbles*

10. What's your current obsession?
Oh, stop it. See 08 and 09.

11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
To get washed and dressed? Ten, fifteen minutes when it's a work day. Including breakfast, about half an hour from getting out of bed until I walk out the frontdoor for work. If I don't have to leave the house I prefer pajamadays, but if I do shower I'm bringing music to the bathroom and spend a looooooong time under water. *grins*

12. What websites do you visit daily?
The question should be "where don't you go online". I'm all over the place. First stop is my blog, then my brother's blog, my lj, the flist and on to the world wide web.

13. Do you write fic? What was the last fic you wrote?
Nope. Last I read: new Nick/Greg by [livejournal.com profile] kennedy_unknown - We Get It Right. Highly recommend it.

14. What's the last thing you laughed about?
Jelle's mail.

15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
20 Dollar Nose Bleed by Fall Out Boy ft. Brendon Urie.
"B-b-b-b-Benzedrine
My, my, my Benzedrine
"

16. What's the last movie you saw?
In the cinema: Bride Flight. Dutch film about three women and one man who meet on a plane when they emigrate to New Zealand in the 1950s. They look back on their lives and we find out they share 'a big secret'. Very good acting, plus of course the requisite nudity. Although you should totally watch it for the first, the latter is a must see bonus whatever gender you prefer, both are pretty. Dutch directors are all about equal opportunity:)

Up in the attic: A Christmas Cottage. That film totally lived up to my expectations for a 'based-on-a-true-story-made-for-tv-christmas-movie'. With Jared Padalecki and his puppy-face. There should have been more smiling. Then I would have recommended it.

17. Would you enter a relationship with your ideal partner, even if you knew he/she was seriously involved with/married to someone else and would never leave them?
No. My ideal partner is single, so much so that I would prefer him/her to not have any other interests but me. *rolls eyes*

18. What is your least favourite thing to do that you have to do every day?
Think. Which incidentally comes with the favourite thing in my life: my brain. Gotta love irony. I'd love to be able to turn it off sometimes.
