The David Tennant look-a-likey (aka my fantasy future bf) didn't shave this morning and he ate his breakfast on the bus: whole wheat sandwiches. Did I mention he reads? He's in the middle of Valley Of The Horses by Jean M. Auel, which happens to be my favorite out of that series (The Earth Children). I should really warn him to not continue after the third book.

Not so enjoyable: the busstop smoker is back. I had so hoped his disappearance was more than just a vacation. :(

On a related note: I decided the potentially upsetting Panic! At The Disco-picture that surfaced last week is a fake. Or a really bad joke. Either way; I'm ignoring it together with the previous proof of stupid behaviour and will go back to believing my musicboy smells like freshly baked cookies all the time. Also: he ridiculed religious rock lyrics on his twitter last night, which definitely helped heal my heart. (I'm so happy he escaped from the brainwashing)

And finally: thanks to everyone who participated in my bookpoll. I am now reading Newt Scamander - Fantastic Beasts & Where To Find Them (from the library of Hogwarts), which I will probably finish today. I will then read the play Angels in America by Tony Kusher.

I really liked the first book in that series and then I inexplicably hated the rest. Well, not inexplicably, they pretty much just sucked ;).

Lol, the girl who was yelling and bitching at Brendon and Zack about those tweets amused me SO VERY MUCH.

I started in book 2, because my mom was reading part 1, then when I was halfway she was done, so I read them in order up until part 3. Shortly after that part 4 was published, which didn't add much to the story and part five ruined the whole series by repeating every fucking detail from the first four books for people who were too lazy to start at the beginning. Looking back it really isn't that well written. I wonder if Auel will ever finish part 6 as intended. I'd say "don't bother".
You are probably right about the first one being the best, and I loved Ayla, but I discovered I really identified more with Jondalar in part two (plus it had some really educational nature-scenes;)

I especially appreciated Zack's response \o/

None of her books are that well-written, to be honest *g*. I started reading them because she donated like, millions to archaeological foundations that focused on the Neolithic, and we had a whole seminar dedicated to all the things she made possible. But even so, that doesn't mean I was horribly impressed :p.

Although, yes, it was educational :p.

(Zack's response was made of the utmost awesome, and I just had to tell him that!)

OH, that's right, she did a lot of research too, I remember being impressed by that until she started milking it.

I enjoyed the books immensely, but they were indeed not masterpieces of literature. Still; a boy reading a big novel like that? I'm in love lust whatever. I like it.
