Ugh. This week has been a bit blah; work was boring and busrides were hellish. (Oooh, read all about it in my Daily Dutch Blog;)
BUT I made some small steps to changing my life for the better.
I asked the bossman if I could reduce my hours; I can afford to earn less now and I would really love to have more free time. He is willing to work with me on finding a comfortable schedule. \o/
I started the process of transferring my bankaccounts to a politically correct and environmentally considerate bank.
I cut back on tv- and computertime in favour of sitting down with a book. I need to remember it soothes my mind to get lost in one fascinating (fantasy) universe. All I've been doing lately is zap back and forth endlessly between channels or websites fixating on the stupid part of the real world.
Luckily I've found a great series of books to help my transition. So what if it's not worldliterature, I'm enjoying myself immensely without electrical appliances *grins*
Here is more stuff that made me happy this week:

On Monday I was mesmerized by the beautiful bright nightsky and the...

moon! *chinhands*

On Tuesday I was witness of this gorgeous sunrise (taken from the bus;)

On Thursday I bought this huge bear. Funny how everybody at work assumed it was for Ruben. IT IS NOT. HA. All mine. *cuddles*
...
Okay, fine. If Ruben comes to visit his aunt, he can get a bear hug (but not the bear;)
I'll catch up with the internet tomorrow. It's time to snuggle on my couch with my book and ignore the real world for a while.
