Panic! At The Disco in Amsterdam - Tuesday May 10
Early in the afternoon I traveled to brotherdearest's apartment in Amsterdam, where I left my overnight bag and got some well needed comfort from the brother before venturing into town. Checked out the Melkweg venue where I already found little clusters of fangirls hanging out. And then bodyguard Zack strolled out of the building and all the calmth brotherdearest had provided was gone again;)
I still managed to walk away and focus on some shopping until I was supposed to meet up with [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan in front of the Sexmuseum. (What? That is an excellent place to wait;)

01.
Obligatory arm length picture of Amsterdam canal:)

02.
Despite Tanni's delayed train we managed to not freak out until we met (then we went into fangirl-mode;). We dined near the venue (Leidseplein). I had the Saint Maarten platter: ribs and chicken, omnomnom.

03.
Venue Melkweg! We got in the impressive line around 19.00. When we were allowed inside we found great places to stand up on the steps behind the crowd and I had a perfect view of the stage.

04.
The opening band was Pioneers of Love, who tried their best to impress with epic intros and saying 'Panic at the Disco' a lot. Bless. (When I saw them later in the merch-stand, I noticed they were much younger than I had thought. Ahw, babies)

After that slightly akward performance the stage was set for the band we all came for (yes).
FYI: I'm posting these concert-pictures below for my own amusement, if you are looking for great close up shots, you'll have to wait for should check out my Antwerp collection (which will be posted later this weekend you can find here;)

Breeeeeeendon! From his arm-motion I'm guessing he's singing Mona Lisa here.

    06.

    07.
    Urie, your FACE.

    08.
Boys playing Carry On My Wayward Son. (Or as [livejournal.com profile] tanisafan so eloquently put it: ...Ian and Brendon masturbating on guitar;) [Ian Crawford (lead guitar, backing vocals)]

I love the new logo so much, I wish this photo was sharper.

My photos from the concert in Antwerp are MUCH BETTER. I'm sorting through them now and will share loads of them later (UP NOW, CLICK LINK!). Until then you can already peek at my vids on You Tube:

Panic! at the Disco - Amsterdam 11 mei 2011 [Wonderland-cover]

The sound is crappy, but you can at least hear Brendon's giggling in between their own version of the lyrics (Your body is in Amsterdam / Your body is my hamster... Ehm;)

Panic! at the Disco - Amsterdam 11 mei 2011 [Nearly Witches - Goodbye]

Again the sound is not that good, but I recorded this song for Brendon's dancing (I've wanted to see him move to this beat ever since they teased us with a snippet of this song years ago;)

Panic! at the Disco - Antwerpen 12 mei 2011 [Always]

Yes, now I know I'm not supposed to hold the camera in portrait-mode. But Brendon fit so perfectly in my frame *g*. Around two minutes in I realized I should turn my camera around. Just lean your head on your hand sideways to watch; it's the perfect way to listen to this song anyway :-p

I get so sad because as you know, the darker the background, the more fucked up my laptop screen is. I NEED A CLEARER VIEW OF BRENDON'S FACE, UNIVERSE :(. Thank goodness I already saw them earlier, right? :D

Your food still looks equally impressive as when I first saw it, hahaha.

I gots tickets for Hasselt and will try to score tickets to Frankfurt next week or the week after that. EEH. Also apparently the train to Frankfurt is cheaper than the train to Amsterdam. Make sense of that if you will.

These photos will still be up when you -finally- get your new laptop (but maybe this is a new incentive to get one ASAP:-p) Plus you got to see them for REAL. *happy sighs*

Dude, I'm still drooling over those ribs, mmmmm.

Maybe cheaper traintickets are a way to compensate for the more expensive concerttickets in Germany? I stopped trying to make sense of the railsystem.

The plates with food you got fascinate me! Why can't our restaurants make them as appealing as these ones? This first part of your Panic! trip seems awesome!

I'm sure not all restaurants manage; we initially were sitting next door to this place and moved because it looked dodgy. A wise decision as you can tell from our delicious plates;)

Oh, Amsterdam was amazing, and if I hadn't gone to Antwerp the next day, it would have been an unforgettably great experience all on its own:)
