Panic! At The Disco in Antwerp - Wednesday May 11
After the amazing concert in Amsterdam on Tuesday and a night on brotherdearest's couch,
tanisafan and I traveled to Antwerp by train (an hour later than planned, because the one we wanted to take apparently disappeared somewhere between Belgium and The Netherlands...).
In the afternoon
eledhwenlin joined us and together we walked to the venue, where there were already loads of fangirls and -boys sitting in front. T. and S. were allowed inside for their Meet & Greet and I settled on a bench with a book. I was two pages in when Tanni came running outside and said she had told Zack I had chocolate and I could come to the M&G too! Eeeep.

Three giddy fangirls :-D
Zack also invited a dedicated young couple who'd been at the venue since 7am and while we were waiting for the band, the boy was kind of bragging he was the oldest person in the M&G because 'he was already 20'. Cue snorts from yours truely. A little later it got even moreawkward amusing when the conversation turned to George Michael and the boy asked if I knew him, to which I replied that I'd been a fan of Wham and his girlfriend responded to that with 'Who's Wham!?". And she was not kidding. Ahem. Yes, children, thank you, way to make me feel old.
Before things got too embarrassing for me to handle, Zack came back for his 'don't be creepy'-speech and from then on I didn't care anymore, because I got to meet and greet Brendon, Spencer and Dallon \o/ (Ian wasn't feeling well, so he wasn't there, but they assured us he would be playing later)

A tiny Teletubbie standing in between sweet Spencer and Brendon, while Dallon looks like he's freezing. (He should have shuffled closer to Brendon, because -wow- that boy was warm.)
I remember both Spencer and Brendon commenting on my The Who shirt and Brendon noticed it was from Quadrophenia which made me love him even more. Take that, ignorant young fanbabies :-p
I'm not sure what else was said, but I'm pretty sure I was quietly squeeing all the time with a big smile on my face (see pic above;). Got autographs and handed over my chocolate to Zack in between.
There was also this moment:

The fanboy had sneakily handed his camera to Brendon so he could snap a picture of the couple with Zack (who never wants to be photographed;).
If the M&G itself wasn't awesome enough, we also got the privilege of being ushered past the long line of waiting fans and being allowed inside the venue before everyone else. We picked out perfect places up against the barrier. Front row center, people! \o/
The concert started with two opening acts who were both clearly more experienced than the band in Amsterdam: they knew how to work a crowd that was waiting for the main attraction.

Flatcat from Belgium

S and I thought he was a roadie at first, but as it turned out the cute dude testing the drums was actually the drummer of the next band himself;)

Destine from the Netherlands

I loved this photographer's shirt, but was very happy those guys weren't in front of us all the time;)
And then it was finally time for Panic! at the Disco!
