Woohoo: this morning I managed to do the complete Day 16 Hero's Journey Work Out without any moderations \o/ I also am nearly done with today's Calf Rehabiliation exercises; I only have 5 ankle-alphabets left to do and I can do those in bed :-)
This afternoon I tackled the stairs to put out the garbage and tried walking outside with one crutch. It was a bit scary because my calf feels so tender and vulnerable, so I'm not going any faster yet.

But still: progress! Unlike last weekend when I was hobbling along on two crutches doing the Pigs Gone Wild sculpture trail with [livejournal.com profile] amberdreams. If you've missed it, you can catch up with part one of my travelpicspam here. Behind the cut we'll continue our walk through Ipswich!

After a sit down for lunch with [livejournal.com profile] amberdreams' husband P. we continued our pig-hunt and came across another warrior pothole (especially for my Hero's Journey ladies;) before finding Pepper Pig by Susan Webber. [10] I love the colours and how the peppers follow the shape of the body.

We saw more pretty in Ipswich than just the art on the Pigs Gone Wild trail; check out this woodcarved mermaid! I also love the shield/logo of Ipswich, hence a photo of a trashcan;)
(Ehm, speaking of trashcans, there was also an impressive muscle man that walked through my frame while I was photographing the following pig. I may or may not have accidently taken a picture of his naked(!) back as he walked on *shifty eyes* Look, I had to make a selection to keep this picspam manageable, okay.)

In front of the Bathhouse: To Bee A Pig by Sophie Martin [11] and a detail: those bees look so fluffy!
(If anyone wants to see other upclose photos of this pig or the muscleman mentioned above, ahem let me know;)

IMG_5012-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5013-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Possibly the most adorable piggy: Little Sewn Sow by Matt Reeve. [12] (For non-English people: that's pronounced "so-and-so"; it's a pun! English is weird;)

IMG_5017-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5022-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Dragon! and -another pun- Ed Sheer-Ham by Martin J. Wall [13] (get it? "ham", haha;) He even has a guitar, aaahw!

IMG_5028-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5037-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Best colours and chocolate: PiƱata Piggy by Hanna Nelson [14] and Hamlet of Ipswich by Emma Graham [15]

IMG_5034-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5039-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Fun details on the Hamlet piggy; I made photos of all the quotes, but these have the BEST placement *giggles* I also love the little crown:)

IMG_5041-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5042-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
We had quite a long cool down/sit down at the Cult Cafe, where we found another junior pig: Splatter Pig is really giving it their all on that guitar:) And how about that adorable dragon up on the ceiling?

IMG_5046-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5047-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Walking and hobbling back across the fancy Neptune Marina (where we had another sit down for ice cream; by this time my good leg was struggling to keep my bad calf going and needed more breaks, but hey: ice cream!)

IMG_5052-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5054-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Pig n Mix by Lynsey Brecknell & Keiron Reilly [16] has candy all over it; although that one shape on its left side right under the heart looks more like a rolled up condom to me; I've never seen candy like that *grins*

IMG_5055-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5063-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Ipswich Blue by Julia Allum [17] looks very similar to what we in the Netherlands call 'Delfts Blue', pretty!
Last pothole photo, I promise (FYI: We started our walk at 09:35 this morning and it's now 5:31 and we're still going, so we are WARRIORS, okay;)

IMG_5066-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5073-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Heehee, Piggy The Sailor by Deven Bhurke [18] has a French moustache and a wonky tattoo :-D.
Behind bars: this junior pig in a shopwindow is called Maggie.

IMG_5075-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5076-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Across the street in a knitting shop we find Nature's Gone Wild with the BEST piggy tail <3

Spot the cat and the pig behind the statue of Cardinal Thomas Wolsey (c.1475-1530) - it's Piggy Stardust! by Allan Williams [19] Love the colourful spandex *g*

IMG_5079-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5083-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
We have another sitdown with pigsblood pink en red lemonade before we move on to Hide And Seek by Matt Sewell [20].

IMG_5098-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5099-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Pretty Penny by Mik Richardson [21] has a tail that sticks out in a curl. She stands next to a glorious statue of Alexander Obolenski (1916-1940), Prince, RAF Pilot and famous rugbyplayer.

IMG_5103-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5105-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
A gorgeous golden glow on Pig-Geswyk by Lois Cordelia [22], who can admire her reflection in the mirrored windows of the Willis Building, designed in the early seventies by Norman Foster - a landmark in the development of the 'high tech' architectural style. /Wikipedia history lesson

IMG_5112-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5113-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Meet Clover by Joanne Cane [23] - apparently there is a four leaf clover hidden somewhere, I haven't found it yet (I took a lot of photos to examine) - let me know if you spot it!!

IMG_5120-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5124-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Detail of Clover without clovers but with a BEE;) and the very cool Steam Punk Pig by Cyndi Speer [24] with the best snout design!

IMG_5129-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg IMG_5134-WKNDIpswich082016.jpg
Last pig of the day: Great Piggish Bake Off by Sue Guthrie [25]. The legs are supposed to be Victoria Sponge cake, but that doesn't look like the cake we hade this morning;) - the farm design is cute though.
My legs kind of felt like sponge cake, pffff. But I could put them up in a very comfy chair (thanks, P.!) and [livejournal.com profile] amberdreams treated me to some cheesy biscuits SCONES with salted butter for 'tea', so all was well:)

Aaaaaand we're done for today! 25 adult pigs and 12 junior pigs, not bad, right? Tomorrow we're going to London, let's see if we can track down some more pigs on our way to the station....

To be continued!
